Lift Ops is where the mountain runs on rhythm. You’re the calm, focused presence at the terminal—keeping guests safe, chairs loading smoothly, and energy high even when the wind is doing the most.

What You’ll Do (The “Keep It Spinning” List)

  • Assist guests with safe loading and unloading of chairlifts

  • Maintain constant awareness of your surroundings to ensure guest safety

  • Provide friendly service and support guest satisfaction

  • Learn and follow all operational and emergency procedures

  • Perform and document safety checks

  • Maintain lift ramps and terminal areas (condition and appearance)

  • Prevent fraudulent lift access

  • Communicate effectively with guests and coworkers via radio/phone/in person

  • Work outdoors in winter conditions for extended periods

  • Strong communication skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Safety-conscious with good judgment and quick decision-making

  • Reliable and punctual

  • Ability to work weekends/holidays and a varied schedule

Preferred (Nice to Have)

  • Guest service experience

  • Knowledge of the ski industry

  • Competent ski/snowboard ability or strong enthusiasm to learn!

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions (Real Talk)

  • Work outdoors in winter conditions for the duration of an 8-hour shift

  • Stand/walk for the duration of an 8-hour shift

  • Walk on uneven, icy, and snowy terrain

  • Shovel snow for extended periods

  • Work near moving mechanical parts; exposure to sub-zero temps, wind, snow, and freezing rain
