    Rawah Ranch in Glendevey, CO is looking for an experienced kitchen utility person/dishwasher to round out our summer staff starting May 20th, 2018. The position runs until October 1st, 2018. All applicants must be available the entire season.

    The ideal kitchen utility person/dishwasher is a candidate who possesses a warm, accommodating, professional manner and seeks to ensure the highest quality of guest satisfaction. Must be able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced dining environment while maintaining a positive attitude toward guests and co-workers, working as a team player.

    Job Duties

    • Play key role as member of the kitchen staff in providing assistance to chef and servers for all meals – breakfast, lunch, dinner
    • Have comprehensive knowledge of kitchen and dishwashing operations
    • Execute all ranch dishwashing in a timely manner, manage dishwashing area for kitchen/staff, and maintain order and cleanliness of the dish pit throughout the week
    • Take lead on cleaning and maintaining orderly staff lounge area and kitchen/dishwashing station
    • Assist with ranch tasks and in other departments, as assigned by Management, during slow booking weeks

  • Head Wrangler(s)

    Barn
    Glendevey, Colorado

    Head Wrangler

    We are currently searching for someone to run the barn and horse program at Rawah Guest Ranch.

    You would be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the corral with duties including but not limited to: doctoring and providing care of around 60 horses, maintaining a neat and orderly corral, rotating and irrigating pastures, and oversee/ keep track of time on Wilderness and Natural Forest Land. Your ability to interact with guests in a friendly and courteous manner is a must.

    You would have a crew of 5 Wranglers.  Responsible for setting up a rotating schedule for both Wranglers and Horses.

    Knowledge of the Rawah Wilderness Area would be helpful, but is not required.

    Great candidate would be a husband & wife team (or significant other) where one could be head wrangler and the other, if not a wrangler, could work another position on the ranch.  

    Top pay for the right candidate. Will also get room, board and tips.

     

     

    Other requirements;

    Good communication skills and a strong work ethic are crucial.

    Extensive recent horse experience

    Ability to lift 50-100lb hay bales

    Previous Head Wrangler/Wrangling experience

    Ability to fix barb wire and wooden corrals

    Ability to lead walk/trot/loping rides

    Safety conscious

    Positive ‘never say no’ attitude

    Season runs May 1st – October 10th with possibility of Full Time position

  • Housekeeper

    Housekeeping

    Rawah Ranch in Glendevey, CO is looking for hardworking, hospitality-oriented housekeepers to round out our summer staff starting May 13th, 2018. The position runs until October 1st, 2018. All applicants should be available the entire season.  

    We are looking for highly motivated, energetic people to fill our housekeeping staff positions. Qualified candidates will have excellent customer service skills, will thrive in a team environment, and have the capacity to complete tasks quickly and systematically without constant direct supervision.   

     

    Job Duties 

    • General cabin upkeep – maintaining clean and orderly guest accommodations 

    • Cabin prep – pre-arrival clean and set up for incoming guests 

    • Daily cabin cleaning for current guests 

    • Nightly cabin turn down 

    • Full cabin clean and turnover upon guest departure 

    • Assisting other housekeeping staff with ongoing linen laundry 

    • Daily/weekly ranch projects (i.e., housekeeping storage clean out and organization, maintenance issue reporting, etc.) 

    • Responding promptly and professionally to guest requests for additional cabin amenities

  • Wrangler

    Barn
    Glendevey, Colorado

     

    Rawah Ranch in Glendevey, CO is looking for an experienced wrangler to round out our summer staff starting May 20th, 2018. The position runs until October 1st, 2018. All applicants must be available the entire season.  

     

    We are looking for someone with a strong horse background; previous dude ranch/wrangling experience is highly preferred. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, a willingness to help in other departments as required (occasional dish/serving duties during large groups), demonstrate flexibility and be a team player. Wranglers may not bring pets to the ranch, but a personal horse may be allowed at the Head Wrangler’s discretion. 

     

    Job Duties 

    - Leading walking and loping guest rides, from 1 hour to overnight 

    - General ranch maintenance (i.e., fencing, trail clearing, new trail construction) 

    - Assisting with the setup and breakdown for overnight rides, breakfast/lunch rides, dinner barbeques 

    - Daily cleaning of corral and barn areas 

    - Be in rotation with other wranglers to stay at the ranch over weekends to feed/watch horses (generally 1 weekend a month) 

    - Dish/serving duty as required when needed during large booking weeks 

    - Maintain a clean cowboy/cowgirl look, including cowboy hat, boots, jeans, and uniform shirt 

    - Perform any additional ranch duty as requested by the Head Wrangler or Ranch Manager
