Spend the summer lakeside in the White Mountains enjoying all the wonderful outdoor activities Maine has to offer. Staff are provided with a unique opportunity to spend a summer living, working and playing in an inclusive and creative environment.
For consideration, candidates must have applicable experience in casual fine dining, possess a positive disposition and a knack for consistency. We will also consider culinary internships.
Housing and meals provided at no cost.
Quisisana accommodates 150 guests for a week long stay for which we will serve three meals a day. Most of our culinary team returns each season, this year is no exception. But we do have a couple of openings. Guest meals consist of breakfast made to order and a week long series of daily lunch and and dinner menus. Services utilize a combination of banqueting/catering techniques merged with a la carte. In addition to guest service we also provide 3 daily meals to our 80 staff members. Family meal provides the kitchen with a creative outlet with few limitations all throughout the summer. Chefs are encouraged to share what they know and who they are through the preparation of staff meals. Some would say that our staff eats better than the guests! Quoted pay varies with experience.
It's pretty basic - you wash dishes / pots pans / silverware and put it away. The good news is that you're living in a great spot and working with good people. All resort amenities are available to our staff. Go jump in the lake!
It's great if our prep cooks have some basic kitchen skills, but even the most experienced can expect their skill set to grow as you work with our trained chefs. You'll definitely learn a thing or two about shrimp and lobster. In your free time, go jump in the lake and see a show! Ours is a friendly, supportive kitchen atmosphere.
