Working at camp is about friendship, stepping out of your comfort zone and creating memories that will last a lifetime. It is also about being disconnected and getting outside. Spending time in the amazing Adirondack Mountains is a great benefit of Point O'Pines. Take our campers on hikes in the local area, canoe trips down the river, overnights at our farm (10 min away from camp), and on off-camp trips to local ropes course and more. 

The ideal candidate is someone who loves to be outdoors, backpacking and enjoying nature. 

POP is looking for experienced swim, sail, canoe, kayak or water ski instructors to join our Waterfront Team this summer. All Instructors should be experienced, and have a background in the specific area of the waterfront they are looking to work in, as well as coaching and instructing experience is an asset.

We will provide American Red Cross Lifeguard and WSI certification during Orientation to all waterfront staff regardless of current certification status. 

Our Waterfront Instructors teach campers, ages 7-15 with varying abilities and experience in the water. Instructors will be responsible, along with the Waterfront Director, for creating and implementing lesson plans, tracking camper progress, as well as lifeguarding duties when not teaching.

Point O'Pines is hiring enthusiastic, outgoing and dedicated staff to work with children ages 7-17. General Counselors are big sisters to our campers during the summer. As a General Counselor you live with the campers and other co-counselors in a cabin and have opportunities to assist in a wide variety of daily activities and sports. You serve as a role model to help our campers navigate camp life.
