Snack Shack Attendant/Cashier

The attendants/cashiers main responsibility will be to interact with customers and accept payment from them for products and services provided. In this position, delivering outstanding customer service will be your main objective. Additional responsibilities include processing food orders, cleaning public spaces and assisting guests with questions.

The ideal candidate will be friendly, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and adept at handling money and  Point of Sale systems, quick and accurate at mathematical calculations, and good at answering and solving over-the-counter inquiries and problems.

Cashiers need to have the ability to work under pressure. They are required to be alert and cordial at all times. They are also required to have general knowledge all of the ranch’s offerings in order to answer any queries that a guest may have.

Responsibilities

• Serves each visitor respectfully, swiftly and effectively with an honest, positive, friendly, and exuberant attitude
• Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor
• Greet all guests and owners warmly with an appropriate greeting
• Understands and can communicate products and menu items available
• Replenish hot and cold beverages as needed
• Assist guests with general enquiries
• Guide guests in a professional manner to the rules of the ranch
• Ensure all orders are delivered to the customers in a timely manner
• Tasks scheduled for closing period include clearing of trash, cleaning the front station, and restocking, among other duties
• Tally money in the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each work shift
• Ensure a balance of the register at the end of the shift or working period
• Complete opening and closing procedures daily
• Complete daily inventory of items – advise manager when items are close to running out
• Complete daily close out – ensure all cash, receipts and reports are accounted for
• Adhere to grooming and appearance standards at all times
• Comfortable working in a fast paced environment
• Comfortable being outdoors all day
• Perform physical activities such as lifting up to 25lbs, stooping, walking and standing for extended periods of time.

Education and Experience

• High school Diploma or equivalent GED
• 2+ years cashier experience in a fast paced environment
