We are a seasonal operation and looking for staff generally from the beginning of May through the first week of November. We have some limited availability for staff during our busiest months to stay less time between June-August. We are specifically looking for hospitality front and back of house positions, outdoor Maintenace, and sitters for the 2022 season. We do have a minimum age of 18 for all staff living on site. Staff are required to pass a background check as part of their application process. For those with cars or who would like to utilize a company car a valid drivers license must be on file. All staff will receive training in their position once they start, and most jobs do not require extensive expensive just a willingness to learn and grow! 

    Bakery

  • Bakery Staff

    Bakery
    $14.00 / hour + tips

    We are looking for bakery staff with some experience preferred, but not required, in banquet/large volume prep for events and buffets and working our pizza station for our restaurant during evenings. We are a scratch bakery that bakes all items from scratch from breads, muffins, cookies, quick breads, pastries, and wedding cakes. The bakery is a separate room from the kitchen with a large deck oven, proofing cabinet, prep space and storage, and its own gas range. Our bakery switches between different foodservice operations during our season including basic buffet foods, a la carte restaurant ordering for dinner and brunch, and specialty wedding and event catering on site. Each shift includes a 30 min lunch break paid. Shifts available are during the day and night depending on that week's schedule. Shift meals are available when the restaurant is open and staff are able to take food from any buffet meals during shift after the guest meal concludes. Non-slip shoes are required. Aprons and chef jackets provided.

    Requirements:

    • Basic baking skills a bonus, but all recipes and techniques can be taught!
    • Understanding of food safety requirements. ServSafe certification a plus. 
    • Ability to read and execute recipes (Bakery Supervisor is hands-on to assist in teaching)
    • Ability to work 8-9 hour shifts on your feet
    • Ability to lift up to 50lbs

  • Outdoor Maintenance / Groundskeeper

    This position will be working under the Facilities Manager and our Lead Gardener to maintain the aesthetics of our property. No experience is necessary as everything can be taught - just a willingness to learn! This position includes long hours outside and in the sun and greenhouses. You may be working lawn maintenance equipment such as a lawnmower, trimmers, gardening equipment, leaf blowers, driving golf carts, etc. You will be working with our lead gardener to help grow our own flowers and plants in the greenhouse and then transplant and maintain them in our flower boxes and gardens throughout the property during our season. You will also be helping maintain our trails on-site clearing brush and helping develop new trails as directed by the Facilities Manager. You may also be helping to maintain our historic buildings including minor repairs, painting, moving outdoor equipment such as canoes and kayaks etc. This includes a paid 30min lunch break. Hours are during the day. All equipment and protective gear is provided.

    • Ability to be out in the elements up to 8 hours a day

  • Hospitality Staff

    Front of House
    $14.00 / hour + tips

    We are looking for front of house hospitality serving staff with some experience in banquet/event service and restaurant quick service serving. This includes: taking orders using our Square POS system, running food, serving drinks from a limited bar menu (majority is grab and go service), making espresso drinks to order, bussing, serving during large weddings and events. Staff will rotate between responsibilities each day and past experience will be used to identify best areas for each staff member. Staff do not do all these duties each shift this is just an example of the possible roles staff may fill during the season.  

    Our food service switches between different food service operations during our season including basic buffet foods, a la carte restaurant ordering for dinner and brunch, and specialty wedding and event catering on site. Our restaurant is an order at the counter concept. Meal orders are taken at the counter and brought to the kitchen to execute. The guest receives a number and food runners bring the food to their table. Tips are pooled for back and front of house staff. Each shift includes a 30 min meal break paid. Shifts available are during the day and night depending on that week’s schedule. Shift meals are available when the restaurant is open and staff are able to take food from any buffet meals during shift after the guest meal concludes.

    • Foodservice experience preferred, but not required, including taking orders, bringing food out, bussing plates and glasses, helping maintain a buffet (replacing food, cleaning areas), etc. 
    • Experience with making espresso drinks a plus
    • Experience working a bar a plus
    • Ability to work 8-9 hour shifts on your feet
    • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
    • Values punctuality and efficiency in the workplace 
    • Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization assigned areas of front of house

    We are looking for dishwashers to join our Back of House team! This job is primarily to clean dishes from the kitchen staff from food prep and meals. You are responsible for maintaining proper sanitation and cleanliness standards in the dish areas, cleaning all dishes from food prep and meals, putting clean dishes back in the correct location, and helping with daily deep clean tasks as time allows. Each shift includes a 30 min lunch break paid. Shifts available are during the day and night depending on that week's schedule. Shift meals are available when the restaurant is open and staff are able to take food from any buffet meals during shift after the guest meal concludes. Dishwashers report directly to the Kitchen Manager.
