About Northern Outdoors Inc.
Ever thought about living in the woods, close to the rivers, in the heart of Maine's mountains?
How about a chance to work with and meet some of the most charismatic people, with diverse backgrounds, and charming personalities ... and a little (ok maybe a lot) of humor too?
This past year has been tough on all of us. One thing people seem to be longing for, now more than ever, is a chance to get outside, have a great adventure and maintain safety! We can check all of these boxes here at Northern.
Established in 1976, Northern Outdoors offers year-round, Maine adventure vacations and is the first and most experienced rafting adventure company in the state. In the summertime, we offer whitewater rafting, river floats, hiking, ATV trails, and fishing. Or enjoy serving or sipping on a cold brew, from our very own Kennebec River Brewery, on our large deck, brick patio or inside our beautiful log lodge.
Our Maine brewpub serves up fresh food daily and has a rainbow of beers on tap from our on-site brewery, launched in 1996. Kennebec River Brewery was one of the earliest breweries in Maine, and is the only Maine Beer Trail destination at an Adventure Resort.
When the temperatures drop in late fall and winter, Northern has direct access to over 14,000 miles of groomed snowmobile trails.
Northern Outdoors is located 4 hours from Boston, MA, and 2-1/2 hours from Portland, ME on Route 201, The Old Canada Road National Scenic Byway in The Forks, Maine.
