All positions will be expected to have the State of Alaska food handler's permit.  

All Front of House employees will be expected to have an ALASKA Alcohol Server Certification compliant with the State of Alaska.

--> Click to Purchase Test IDs
--> Once bought, WRITE DOWN the Test ID. (You use this to take the test.)

--> Enter Test ID & take the test.
--> When passed, Print/ Email Food Worker Card

Instructions for Alcohol Server Certification:

Alaska TAP (Training for Alcohol Professionals) Certification: proceed to Alaska TAP and follow instructions to receive Certification Card.


You are required to have your Passport OR two forms of Identification, such as Photo ID AND Social Security Card or Birth Certificate to complete requirements for I-9 paperwork. These are required before you can begin to work.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • In-depth knowledge of beer/wine and restaurant menus
    • Provide efficient service
    • Guide guests through menus, using suggestive selling to boost sales
    • Direct customers to up sell merchandise and special promotions
    • Run checkout report at end of shift, following all cash control procedures
    • Ensure server stations are adequately stocked before, during, end of shift
    • Maintain our high standards of cleanliness and organization throughout restaurant
    • Serve alcoholic beverages in accordance with company standards and state alcohol requirements
    • Adhere to company handbook policies


    Qualifications or Required Skills

    • 2+ years experience serving in a high-volume, fast-paced establishment preferred
    • Possess strong communication and customer service skills
    • Professional appearance
    • Organizational skills with strong attention to detail
    • Efficient at multitasking
    • Must be a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment
    • Flexible and adaptable to quickly changing demands
    • Ability to maintain composure under stress
    • Team player: Ability to work well with all managers and co-workers
    • Ability to work on your feet for eight hours or more a day
    • Ability to lift large boxes, weighing 35+ lbs
    • Obtain a State of Alaska approved TAPs card
    • Obtain a State of Alaska Food Handler’s Card

     

  • Dishwasher

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Stack, sort and wash dishes
    • Load/unload dish sanitizing machine
    • Refill cleaning agents as needed
    • Follow dish-pit/disposal rules
    • Properly organize and store kitchen dishes in correct locations
    • Follow written/verbal instructions
    • Perform opening/closing procedures as assigned
    • Assist with busing tables if needed. Keep bus station clean and organized
    • Maintain and follow proper food handling, safety and sanitation procedures
    • Assist with portion prep work for other shifts when needed
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen, dish pit and food storage areas, reporting any kitchen equipment or maintenance issues to the manager on duty
    • Follow safety guidelines and use caution in proper lifting techniques, handling knives and operating machinery
    • Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor
    • Demonstrate a high level of professional attitude towards co-workers and general public
    • Ability to work with a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment
    • Adhere to company handbook policies

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Prep and maintain a stocked station before, during and at end of your shift
    • Prepare each dish on our menu using our provided recipes
    • Memorize and employ our serving portion sizes and all basic meal prep procedures
    • Maintain and follow proper food handling, safety and sanitation procedures – all phases of food production and service including storage, rotation, preparation, recipe adherence, cooking methods, plate presentation, quality, service and production time adherence
    • Evaluate finished products for appearance, taste, smell and texture according to internal specifications
    • Work with team of cooks to do portion prep work for other shifts when needed
    • Performs shift opening and closing duties as assigned, including cleaning cutting boards, fryers, equipment and floors
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen, cooking areas, individual station, kitchen equipment and food storage areas, reporting any kitchen equipment or maintenance issues to the manager on duty
    • Follow safety guidelines and use caution in proper lifting techniques, handling knives and operating machinery
    • Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor

  • Prep Cook

    DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Follow a prep list to plan your daily work
    • Label ingredients and food items and stock pantry and refrigerator shelves in an organized manner; follow food and health safety standards.
    • Properly store food items in designated containers and refrigerated storage as appropriate
    • Measure seasonings, condiments, and ingredients for use in cooking and making sauces, desserts
    • Portion and wrap food
    • Prepare ingredients for cooking
    • Wash, peel, and chop fruits and vegetables
    • Clean and cut or grind meat, fish, poultry, and shellfish
    • Assist Line Cooks in stocking and maintaining sufficient levels of food for lunch/dinner service.
    • Use manual and electric equipment for food preparation
    • Perform basic cooking tasks such as stirring, straining, and parboiling food and reducing sauces
    • Inform the supervisor about any potential food and kitchen supply shortages before it appears to ensure efficient operation.
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen, cooking areas, individual station, kitchen equipment and food storage areas, reporting any kitchen equipment or maintenance issues to the manager on duty
    • In addition to daily sanitation, must complete regular deep cleaning duties of the kitchen areas.
    • Follow safety guidelines and use caution in proper lifting techniques, handling knives and operating machinery
    • Assist the Dishwasher and Line Cooks as needed.
    • Participates in unloading food and other supply deliveries by vendors.
    •  Is able to move and lift kitchen supplies weighing 50 pounds or more

    Qualifications/Skills Required

    • Experience cooking in a high-volume, fast-paced establishment preferred. Willing to train.
    • Knowledge of cooking procedures, kitchen equipment and safety rules for kitchen and equipment
