--> When passed, Print/ Email Food Worker Card

All Front of House employees will be expected to have Alcohol Server Certification compliant with the State of Alaska. <Alaska TAP (Training for Alcohol Professionals) Certification: proceed to Alaska TAP and follow instructions to receive Certification Card.>


You are required to have your Passport OR two forms of Identification, such as Photo ID AND Social Security Card or Birth Certificate to complete requirements for I-9 paperwork. These are required before you can begin to work.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Prep and maintain a stocked station before, during and at end of your shift
    • Prepare each dish on our menu using our provided recipes
    • Memorize and employ our serving portion sizes and all basic meal prep procedures
    • Maintain and follow proper food handling, safety and sanitation procedures – all phases of food production and service including storage, rotation, preparation, recipe adherence, cooking methods, plate presentation, quality, service and production time adherence
    • Evaluate finished products for appearance, taste, smell and texture according to internal specifications
    • Work with team of cooks to do portion prep work for other shifts when needed
    • Performs shift opening and closing duties as assigned, including cleaning cutting boards, fryers, equipment and floors
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen, cooking areas, individual station, kitchen equipment and food storage areas, reporting any kitchen equipment or maintenance issues to the manager on duty
    • Follow safety guidelines and use caution in proper lifting techniques, handling knives and operating machinery
    • Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor
    • Demonstrate a high level of professional attitude towards co-workers and general public
    • Ability to work with a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment
    • Efficient time management
    • Adhere to company handbook policies

    Qualifications/Skills Required

    • 3+ years experience in cooking and kitchen administration in a high-volume, fast-paced establishment preferred
    • Knowledge of cooking procedures, kitchen equipment and safety rules for kitchen and equipment
    • Excellent verbal communication and organization skills
    • Professional appearance
    • Organizational skills with strong attention to detail
    • Efficient at multitasking
    • Must be a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment
    • Flexible and adaptable to quickly changing demands
    • Ability to maintain composure under stress
    • Respectful and hard-working
    • Team player: Ability to work well with all managers and co-workers
    • Ability to work on your feet for eight hours or more a day
    • Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds at a time on a regular basis

  • Lead Cook

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Assisting in preparing meal ingredients, which includes washing, peeling, cutting, and slicing fruits and vegetables as well as marinating meats when required to.
    • Plating and garnishing meal items in accordance with company standards
    • Supervising the work of Line Cooks to ensure that all given tasks are completed in a timely manner. 
    • Ensuring portion control is being executed by Line Cooks
    • Ensuring that all cooking stations are adequately stocked with the necessary meal ingredients and cooking equipment.
    • Ensuring that all cooking stations and kitchen surfaces are cleaned and disinfected before and after each shift.
    • Ensure all opening and closing duties are completed on a daily basis
    • Adhering to standard food rotation practices to reduce food wastage and minimize the risk of contamination. Ensuring Line Cooks adhere to those standards as well.
    • Assessing the quality of delivered food supplies to ensure that it meets restaurant standards.
    • Daily/nightly prep lists done accurately for Prep Cooks, to then ensure smooth lunch/dinner service with proper stocking
    • Communicate with the Front of House waitstaff to inform of daily specials, out of stock items, questions about food items, etc.

    Qualifications/Skills Required

    • 3+ years experience in cooking and kitchen environment in a high-volume, fast-paced establishment
    • 1+ year of supervisor, lead cook experience a plus
    • Knowledge of cooking procedures, kitchen equipment and safety rules for kitchen and equipment
    • Excellent verbal communication and organization skills
    • Professional appearance
    • Organizational skills with strong attention to detail
    • Efficient at multitasking
    • Must be a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment
    • Flexible and adaptable to quickly changing demands
    • Ability to maintain composure under stress
