Want to enjoy living in a National Volcano Monument, creating delicious food for adults and youth, and collaboratively hosting events? It will be a blast! 

The Mount St. Helens Institute is looking for a cook/custodian to join our staff at the beautiful Science & Learning Center in the blast area of Mount St. Helens off of WA State Hwy 504. Spectacular views, fun programs, and a small community of non-profit and US Forest Service staff. Our cook/custodian will plan and prepare meals, keep the facility shiny, safe and clean, conduct light maintenance, and engage with guests to ensure they are having a wonderful experience. 

The position ideally begins June 10th and runs through November 4th; there is some flexibility. The schedule is variable with weekday and weekend work with some flexibility. Schedules are posted at least two weeks in advance. Housing is available at low cost in a shared house with a great view of the volcano. 

Wages: $17-20/hour
