Moose Corner Children's Academy (MCCA) is a small childcare facility with, at maximum, five 0-2 year olds and ten 2-5 year olds. We are located in Moose, WY, within Grand Teton National Park, and literally situated at the base of the Teton Mountain Range. The Grand Teton stand proud and visible from the facility. We make it a priority to be outside with the kids and spend a lot of time in the park. We are open Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 5:00 pm. Most all work will be with another preschool teacher and schedules are somewhat flexible. We are open year round with closures on all federal holidays and during the week between Christmas and New Year's Day.
The start date is negotiable, but we are seeking someone as soon as possible.
We are able to provide training and certification for all employees. While we prefer applicants with experience in childcare, any motivated applicant that loves working with children could be a great fit. Housing is available at a highly reduced rate compared to the local area. Housing may be in Moose or in Colter Bay, WY (the other employee housing area within Grand Teton National Park). Housing varies from an apartment-style unit to a 2-3 bedroom house depending on availability and need.
Hourly rates will depend on experience. Gas and healthcare stipends and annual bonuses are also provided and increase in 6-month and yearly increments. An entry pass to Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks is included.
The Grand Teton and Jackson, WY area offers world class outdoor opportunities, in all seasons. The town of Jackson (12 miles south of Moose) also offers access to a very wide variety of amenities for both convenience and entertainment. The communities of Moose and Colter Bay are tight-knit and living in a national park is incredibly welcoming, fun, and inclusive. Note that we do experience "real" winters! The kids that attend the daycare love playing in snow and we still do spend time outside in the colder months. We have four distinct seasons and all offer unique opportunities and beautiful views. We also see a lot of wildlife in the area. While bears are common in Grand Teton National Park, we most often see moose and deer near the facility.
