Position/Overview:
As a Retail Sales Lead, you will roll up your sleeves to lead by example, partnering with the leadership team to execute company directives and standards. Your ability to foster an inclusive environment, provide real-time feedback, and ensure compliance with operational and visual standards will drive individual and team performance. Your role encompasses customer engagement, staff supervision, operational excellence, and visual merchandising to deliver an exceptional in-store experience.
Sales:
Create an inviting store environment embodying the company’s core values.
Drive customer engagement through personalized communication, client retention strategies, and execution of in-store events.
Utilize business tools to analyze sales metrics, identifying opportunities to drive revenue and improve performance.
Operations:
Manage operational excellence, including cash handling, inventory replenishment, and supply management.
Ensure the store meets and exceeds monthly assessment scans/inventory standards through preparation and teamwork.
Open and close the store, ensuring adherence to company policies and timely completion of all procedures and communicating any discrepancies to management in a timely manner.
Assigning and Monitoring floor coverage/zoning while coordinating and lunches/breaks around peak business hours in adherence to company policy.
Assist in all areas of stock, shipping, receiving protocol/policies, procedures, and all ecomm/receiving/restock related paperwork
Visual Merchandising:
Support seasonal rollouts, restocking, mannequin updates and floor moves to maximize product exposure and sales potential.
Ensure the selling floor is neat, organized, stocked and reflecting brand standards
Assist in the implementation and maintenance of all merchandising/visual directives
Identify product concerns in a timely manner
Communicate inventory needs to support the business goal
People:
Motivate and inspire the team to achieve and exceed goals.
Provide in-the-moment coaching, recognize outstanding performance, and address challenges constructively.
Oversee daily staff scheduling, monitor performance, and provide training to enhance skill development.
Staying up to date with community events and local information
Requirements:
Strong understanding of retail customer behavior.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and customer insights.
At least one year retail experience
Some experience supervising a team
Ability to work within a team towards a common goal
Proven ability to receive and integrate feedback
A self-starting attitude and interest in pursuing constant improvement
Ability to lift up to 30-40 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Open Availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
