Your adventure begins here in Priest Lake, Idaho

Millies is home to the local crowd in a town that thrives on tourism. This gem of an establishment was founded nearly 80 years ago and has withstood the test of time and countless families have made their homes here. Newly purchased and renovated, Millie's is buzzing with people who are looking to enjoy a quick bite and enjoy the casual environment. Come join the team!

Nestled away in the woods, Millie's is located in the heart of Northern Idaho's Priest Lake. Off the water but on the main drag Millie's is bustling with locals and tourists.

About Millies

Millies appeals to all our guests who frequent the area. We are supported by a tight-knit crowd of locals, campers, residents who own cabins, as well as resort guests. With this variety of supporters, we are busy with constant turn over. We are open year-round but our summer season really takes off mid June and rocks through September.

Here our guests are relaxed and looking to enjoy good food while they enjoy cocktails.

This establishment is riddled with history as it was established in 1943 and has been recently purchased by new owners who are full of enthusiasm. This season we are elated to be opening our outdoor venue with an additional 100 seats, a full outdoor bar, numerous outdoor activities and a little something for everyone.

Summers will be filled with a variety of activities including acoustic patio music every Friday night, "Rhythm and Brews" every Sunday and Taco Tuesdays with a drop-in volleyball tournament. Come enjoy the fun!

The Employee Experience

Our staff is a Mötley Crüe of sorts, with employees from all walks of life. We range in age, experience, and backgrounds, but we all come together as a family to work hard, play even harder, and share a love for our little community. During the summer months, we work incredibly hard, in order to sustain a lifestyle for the off-season. We have a lot of fun as a collective group, but we can easily switch when the time is necessary. Days off are typically spent boating around, hiking, lounging on the beach, and partaking in the various happenings around the lake with coworkers and members of the community. The locals and friendships made are what really keeps the employees coming back. We pride ourselves on the bond we as a staff continue to create with our community. Our team's collective goal is that guests always feel welcomed and are taken care of with the utmost love, respect, and professionalism.

Ideal Candidate

Our ideal candidate is hard-working, willing to learn, has a positive attitude, is honest as well as reliable, and wants what is best for the business. Someone with a great work ethic and an outgoing personality will go a very long way. We are a staff who all enjoy having fun but expect you to do your job when needed. Our philosophy is to make sure our staff is taken care of in order to provide the best service for our guests. Our customers and the services we provide for them will always be our top priority.

Room and Board

We have some employee housing available. One trailer that's in great condition with four bedrooms, a full kitchen, small dinette, and two bathrooms. In addition, we have two small cabins (one with 1 bedroom, and another cabin with 2 bedrooms). All of which are located on premise and will be two roommates per room. Rent is $225 per person per month. Housing and rentals around the lake can be very difficult to find but certainly not impossible. There are laundry units located in employee housing and a laundry mat located just down the street. As far as discounts: All staff (working a minimum of 3 hours) receive a free meal up to $16 on shift (50% off meals $17 or more) and a free beer or well cocktail (21+ only) when their shift is over. On days off, staff will receive a 50% discount on food only.

Employee Perks

Employees can anticipate making great money working here at Millie's. Summer months are spent working very hard, and if saved correctly, you can walk away by the end of summer with some serious cash! Staff is paid hourly and will also receive tips. There are lots of activities to partake in during your time off (hanging out at other resorts and restaurants nearby, hiking, boating, kayaking, camping, sand volleyball, and making lifelong friendships). Millie's will be home to "Industry Night" Monday evenings throughout summer (drink specials and karaoke) for employees who work in the industry at the lake.

Getting Here and Getting Around

We have some employee housing available on the property, so it is manageable to go without a car, but can however be challenging at times. There are no Uber or taxi services up here, and the closest airport is located in Spokane, WA. (about 2 hours away). If enough notice, we could arrange a way to pick someone up from the airport. Car or no car, a bike would be highly encouraged!

For Fun

Millie's is located in the heart of one of Northern Idaho's most beautiful National Forest. Being just 2 miles from the lake, anyone has access and free rein of what it has to offer, from swimming in the crisp clean water, boating around, spending all day on the docks, stargazing the clear night sky, catching the northern lights, hiking around on one of Priest Lake's hundreds of trails. At Millie's and some surrounding resorts, there's a little bit of everything for anyone, including trivia, sand volleyball, pool tables, air hockey, live music, beer and wine tastings, movie nights on the beach, golfing at the Priest Lake Golf Course(located just a minute away) or hanging out across the street at Priest Lake Brewing. We are also located exactly one hour from Sandpoint, ID, home to local eats, shops, farmer's markets, and Schweitzer Mountain ski resort.
