About Mammoth Caves

Into caves?  You'll love living, working and exploring Mammoth Cave National Park, Kentucky, which is known for the world's longest cave system spanning more than 400 miles of explored spaces.  Even if you're not into caves, there's plenty more for you to experience and enjoy in this lush paradise.  Biking, boating, hiking, horseback riding, and sightseeing are just a few of the other activities always available to you...this is a place to be explored!

Oh, and did we mention that the country music capital of the world, Nashville, Tennessee is a short 1.5 hour drive to the south?  Louisville, Kentucky, home to the world-famous Kentucky Derby, is 1.5 hours to the north.

The best part of Mammoth Cave Hotel is experiencing good ole' southern hospitality.  You will meet visitors and fellow employees from around the world and that's just within your first couple of days....the experience will only get better from there.

We offer solid training programs in our retail gift and souvenir stores, restaurants, and lodging operations to ensure your success with a focus on the 'fun factor'.  It's all about enjoying where you work and where you live!

The Employee Experience

The summers are warm and the evenings are cool and activities abound for those wishing for something other than peace and quiet in the tranquil setting of your dorm room. You can engage in one of the many activities that are offered on a regular basis.  From movie and popcorn nights in our newly remodeled employee lounge to employee barbecues and off-property excursions, there is something for everyone.  Weekly trips into the local community for groceries and necessities are always offered and the occasional trips to Nashville are a popular event.

We have a rock-star management and leadership team who want you to enjoy your work-life experience and they understand that having fun is part of the process.  They work hard to ensure that employees are thoroughly trained and supported.  That's one of the reasons why so many employees return from year to year.

Getting Here and Getting Around

Parking is available for your vehicle if you choose to bring it.  If you don't have a car, it's best to fly into Nashville International Airport (BNA) and transportation will be arranged for you to the Mammoth Cave Hotel.  It's important that you communicate your travel plans in a timely manner to the Administrative Office so that you can be picked up at the airport.

Bikes are not necessary to get to work as it's a very close walk to the Hotel.  Visits to nearby towns are usually arranged in groups and the company shuttle may be available for transport.

For Fun

Bike trails abound in the Park both on and off road and if you're an enthusiast, you won't want to miss this experience.  There exists a 9 mile Mammoth Cave Railroad Bike and Hike trail for the adventurous spirit and you may find other employees yearning for the same great adventure.  These trips are always recommended as a group activity.

If you prefer the water, the Park offers fishing, canoeing, and kayaking on one of the most biologically diverse rivers in North America, the Green River.  More than 100 species of fish live in the Green River's waters and there is no shortage of opportunities to try the sport.  The best part...no fishing license or permit is required in the Park.

Of course, the cave is an amazing experience in and of itself and you wouldn't want to miss the opportunity to at least visit the largest cave system in the world!  Explorers are still discovering cave passages and the Park Cave Tour Guides offer a variety of informational tours that delight adventure-seekers.  Two million visitors per year experience the amazing formations and passage-ways that the cave offers.

Trust us, you will not be bored during your Mammoth Cave employment experience!
