Bicycle Street Inn & Waterfront Collection is the newest hotel on charming Mackinac Island and featured on NBC's Today Show as one of the 20 places in the US to stay in 2020! Our group operates boutique hotels, restaurants, and two of the busiest bicycle rentals in the world. Our team seek motivated individuals determined to create outstanding guest experiences! Mackinac Island is located between Michigan's upper and lower penisulas. The Island's natural beauty has been preserved as automobiles are not allowed and 80% is state park. Living on Mackinac Island you will be surrounded by woods and water, yet just a short ferry ride and short drive from interesting villages, towns and cities in Michigan. Cananda is just an hour drive.

The Employee Experience

Ideal Candidate

Ideal candidates will be motivated, enthusiastic with a desire to learn about marketing and business. We work as a team to accomplish our goal of creating a most memorable guest experience in a beautiful, historic setting.

Room and Board

Housing is set up apartment style, typically two or three bedrooms per apartment with 2 individuals per bedroom. Each apartment includes restroom(s), kitchen, living room and access to a washer and dryer.  Room and board is $95 per week.

Employee Perks

Staff discounts are available at all of our restaurants and fudge shops. Special rates are available at the hotel dependent on and date availability. Bikes are available for purchase or season-long rental at discounted prices.

Getting Here and Getting Around

Individuals take a ferry to Mackinac Island from either Mackinac City or St. Ignace.

The Island is small and quaint everything is within walking or biking distance. Bring your bike or buy one on The Island.

For Fun

Mackinac Island is an outdoor enthusiasts dream. Eighty percent of the island is owned by the state park so there is an abundance of trails for hiking, biking and exploring.

Boating, swimming and fishing are among the many water activities available right outside your door. Enjoy frisbee, basketball or soccer?  Join fellow staff for a fun game. 

During your time on Mackinac Island you will meet guests and fellow staff from all over the world.  Our team typically consists of individuals from Europe, Asia, Jamaica as well as the USA 

There is a historic theater on Mackinac Island that features first run movies weekly. Art and recreation classes are available through the Mackinac Arts Council. Ballroom dancing is also popular as are the concerts in the park.

A short ferry boat ride to the mainland will allow for activities such as movies, bowling and various festivals throughout the season.

Head north about an hour and visit Canada. (Passport required.) Head south to enjoy the beauty of Lake Huron to the east or Lake Michigan and the Sand Dunes to the west.
