    Summary

    Responsible for receiving and shipping product as well as record keeping. Every employee is responsible for providing a positive experience for our guests and employees, with safety and fun as our top priorities.   

    Essential Functions

    • Receives, tags and stocks product shipments.
    • Performs merchandise returns and warranties to vendors.
    • Transfers product to other departments/locations.
    • Reports to management and buyers on product inventory levels.
    • Performs all duties of Sales Associate.
    • Stocks shelves and marks down merchandise.
    • Organizes and maintains back stock areas.
    • Cleans shelves, counters, and helps maintain cleanliness of the entire store.
    • Snow removal around exterior of the store.

    Requirements/Qualifications

    • Must be at least 18 years old.
    • High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • Retail experience preferred.
    • Ability to pass a Background Check.
    • Must be able to work weekend and holidays.
    • Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs. up a flight of stairs at altitude repeatedly.
    • Ski or snowboard knowledge a plus.

    The Area Maintenance Technician/Parking Attendant helps the Resort with organizing and directing vehicles during busy days with additional duties to include trash removal and providing general maintenance support for the ski area.     Essential Functions

    • Directs traffic to available parking.
    • Helps maintain parking lots in a safe condition including snow removal and sanding when necessary.
    • Assist in snow removal around buildings, walkways, and roofs to maintain safe conditions.
    • Assists in general maintenance and cleanliness of the ski area.
    • Removes/hauls trash and recycling from different areas of the Resort.


    Requirements/Qualifications

    • Must be at least 18 years old.
    • Possess a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
    • Must have reliable transportation as daily duties begin before the Loveland Employee Shuttle service is available.

    Responsible for basic lift operations, following industry safety standards. This position also includes, but it is not limited to scanning lift tickets, raking, bumping chairs and snow shoveling.     Essential Functions

    • Operates ski lift machinery and inspects records and reports/monitors mechanical condition and performance of all lift machinery.
    • Executes the safe, efficient, and courteous loading, seating, and unloading of skiers, snowboarders, and other users.
    • Maintains safe levels of snow throughout the entire lift station area and maintains safe walking surfaces.
    • Ensures guests have proper credentials to access the lift system.
    • Stops or slows the lift for safety / emergency purposes / disabled users.
    • Performs daily opening procedures, daily operations, and closing procedures in accordance with industry standards.
    • Provides excellent guest service.
       

    Requirements/Qualifications

    • Must be at least 18 years old and able to work a minimum of 4 days a week from 8:00am to 4:30pm each day.
    • Fluent in English and able to maintain written logs, reports, and checklists.
    • Must be able to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift or move more than 100 pounds.
    • Perform extensive snow shoveling and other physically demanding skills.
    • Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
    • Work effectively at high elevations, and function effectively in extreme cold weather and in other inclement weather conditions.
    • Ability to ski or snowboard is helpful but not required.
    • Must complete the Loveland Lift Department Training Program.

    Essential Functions

    • Teaching and conducting classes and private lessons with safety, fun and learning as the primary goals.
    • Provide content introduction, guidance, feedback, practice time and wrap up as outlined in Loveland training materials.
    • Assisting students with equipment and helping them get off the snow if they fall.
    • Demonstrating specific skiing maneuvers, including loading and unloading lifts.
    • Conducting instructor training clinic classes as assigned.
    • When students involve children, must be accountable for managing children.
    • Work in a variety of support roles such as, serving kids lunches, maintaining cleanliness of facilities, set up & teardown of teaching areas, fitting boots, skis or snowboards, snow removal, reservation/student check in processes; be willing to perform duties occasionally in other departments like lift operations. 
       

    Requirements/Qualifications

    • Must be at least 18 years of age to instruct children and adults.
    • Must have the ability to verbally communicate, demonstrate and explain concepts clearly to people of all ages.
    • Must be patient and nurturing to students.
    • If certified, PSIA/AASI Certification Level 1, 2 or 3 and expected to maintain skills to the current level of certification.
    • Must be able to lift, carry, push and pull up to 50lbs and perform other physically demanding skills, like standing for extended periods of time in extreme weather conditions and high elevations.
    • Must be able to ski at a technical level adequate for the performance of the job duties. Advanced skiing skills.
    • Must have basic computer skills to review job assignments.

    Summary

    Responsible for the safe and efficient aerial and surface lift transport of passengers at Loveland Ski Areas. Oversee the management and administration of the lift maintenance department to provide a positive guest and employee experience.  Responsible for all Lift Maintenance operations, including preventative maintenance; emergency repairs; scheduling of inspections (gear box, etc.); compliance with regulatory standards and requirements; and coordination of lift removals and new lift installations.  Responsible for leading an effective and high performing lift maintenance team, aligning department goals with Loveland’s overall goals.  Every employee is responsible for providing a positive experience for our guests and employees, with safety and fun as our top priorities.   

     

    Essential Functions

    • Responsible for the hiring and supervision of all lift maintenance team members, including, ensuring team members are trained in how to perform their tasks safely and effectively, performance management, policy/procedure compliance, and reviewing and approving time and attendance.  Facilitate career progression for team members through mechanic levels, providing training and development opportunities for continuous development.  
    • Responsible for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repairs on lift equipment.   Develop and implement lift maintenance inspection documents and annual maintenance inspections/schedules. Oversee and assist with troubleshooting all lift systems when issues arise. Proactively develop routines and procedures for preventative maintenance, oversee and assist with maintenance work, and ensure maintenance schedules are adhered to and completed timely.
    • Assure that all required records are maintained and kept up-to-date including all mechanical and operational procedures, daily maintenance, operational logs, lift failures and incidents, downtime logs.
    • Maintain work in compliance with company policy and procedures; CPTSB, ANSI, US Forest Service, and OSHA regulations; and insurance underwriters’ rules and regulations. Ensure development of job hazard assessments, training procedures, etc., ensuring safety is at the forefront.  Regularly document and continuously update lift maintenance procedures and protocols.
    • Manage and monitor department budget, communicating variances as needed.
    • Oversee all lift maintenance parts ordering – maintain parts inventory system.
    • Manage various projects as assigned by SVP/COO related to lifts, including participating in the assessment of long-term lift needs.
    • Operate snowmobile and other company vehicles safely, following LSA protocol and ensuring proper condition of vehicles at all times. Perform snow removal and other snow work around lifts, as needed.
    • May assist in other operational departments as needed (ie., lift operations, parking, etc.)

    Requirements/Qualifications

    • Minimum five years’ experience working in ski lift maintenance and repair, including work on fixed grip, high speed detachable and surface lifts
    • Working knowledge of lift operations
    • Experience and familiarity with lift installations
    • Minimum two years supervising others
    • Possession of (or ability to obtain) a valid Colorado Driver’s License, with an acceptable driving record.
    • Hold or have the ability to obtain climbing certification
    • Strong communication and time management skills with independent decision-making ability.
    • Ability to plan, organize work and execute the plan on a consistent schedule
    • Ability to balance and manage competing priorities, scheduling and motivating a team to accomplish all priorities 
    • Ability to handle fast paced, potentially high-pressure work environment.
    • Ability to lead a team toward set goals, motivate individual performance, and hold team members accountable to ensure team success. 
    • Basic computer skills using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel), experience using Access desirable 
    • Ability to use a computer to look up procedures, check lift related programming, etc.
    • Ability to communicate clearly (speak and understand) in English – verbal and written communications.
    • Intermediate level  or better ski or snowboard ability, expert level preferred.
    • Ability to safely operate snowmobiles and other company vehicles
    • Working knowledge of CPTSB and ANSI codes pertaining to ski lifts, familiarity with general industry OSHA regulations
    • General knowledge in electrical concepts
    • Ability to lift/carry up to 100 pounds.
    • Ability to push/pull greater than 100 pounds.
    • Ability to work at high altitudes, on high structures, outdoors and in extreme weather conditions in all seasons. 
    • Must be able to work weekends, holidays, early morning shifts and late shifts in extreme circumstances during the Winter Season.

    Type of Position:              Winter Seasonal Benefitted Management 

    Schedule:                         Five days/week, includes weekends/holidays (during Winter Season)          

                                             Summers off and eligible for job attached unemployment 

    Pay:                                  $56,000 – $62,000 salary, based on skills and experience (this is an annualized equivalent – actual earnings will be based on weeks worked during the winter season) Plus the potential for end of season bonus (based on company, department and individual performance)


    Responsible for providing a positive child care experience for the children of our guests and employees. Effectively manage the licensed child care at Loveland Basin, ensuring that all licensing requirements are met and maintained.  Provide a safe and positive experience for all staff, and children and parents who participate in using the child care at Loveland Basin.  This child care is separate from our Ski & Ride School children's programs. Every employee is responsible for providing a positive experience for our guests and employees, with safety and fun as our top priorities.

    Essential Functions

    • Responsible for ensuring all licensing requirements are met and maintained.
    • Responsible for hiring and managing a team of Child Care employees including leadership and line level positions.  Position will be a working manager at times (i.e., expected to provide child care)
    • Develop and provide appropriate training for Child Care employees to start the winter season and on an ongoing basis throughout the season
    • Build and maintain a strong customer and employee focused culture
    • Respond to, de-escalate, and resolve elevated guest situations, as needed
    • Provide guidance and manage the performance of all Child Care employees, including performance feedback, recognition, redirection, and discipline, as needed 
    • Responsible for managing the financial performance of the department
    • Develop, implement, monitor, and maintain department safety programs including job hazard assessments, training, documentation, etc.


    Requirements/Qualifications

    • Must hold (or be able to obtain) the qualifications required for the Director of a Small Child Care Center, as defined in 12 Code of Colorado Regulations Section 2509-8-7.702.44. If you do not currently meet all of these qualification requirements, we may be able to work with you to get the final pieces.  Apply and we can talk about it if you are selected for an interview. 
    • Minimum 3 years’ experience working in a child care setting, including providing quality child care and communicating effectively with parents.
    • Experience supervising a team, preferred
    • Basic computer skills using Microsoft Office
    • Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities, with strong decision-making abilities
    • Ability to work at high altitude, mostly indoors with occasional travel outdoors between buildings in severe winter weather conditions
    • Ability to communicate clearly in English - speak and understand verbal and written communications. Must be able to communicate clearly with children, parents, licensor, inspectors, and other Loveland employees.
    • Must be able to work weekends and holidays during the Winter Season.

    Schedule:                         5 days/week Winter,  4 days/week Summer

                                             Early morning shifts required for snow removal 

                                             Weekends and Holidays will likely be required during Winter Season

    Pay:                                  $23.00/hr. - $29.00/hr., depending on experience and qualifications.

    Are you an aspiring Vehicle Mechanic ready to bring your skills to a higher elevation?   Come join our Family-owned ski area and our vehicle maintenance team who literally keep the wheels on the bus, the snowcats on the trails, and the snow out of the parking lots – among other things!   

    Summary

    Provide Loveland Ski Area with maximum safe operational vehicle availability.  Perform preventative maintenance inspections (PMI) failure analysis and troubleshooting on buses, trucks, snowmobiles, small engines, heavy equipment and snowcats, ensuring resulting repairs to fleet vehicles.  Every employee is responsible for providing a positive experience for our guests and employees, with safety and fun as our top priorities.   

    Essential Functions

    • Ensure all fleet vehicles are operational and safe:
    • Keeps equipment available for use by inspecting and testing; completing preventive maintenance such as, engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotation and changes, replacing filters.
    • Maintains vehicle functional condition by listening to operator complaints; conducting inspections; repairing engine failures; repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions; replacing parts and components; repairing body damage.
    • Verifies vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems.
    • Complies with state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards.
    • Maintains vehicle appearance by cleaning, washing, and painting.
    • Maintains vehicle records by recording service and repairs.
    • Maintain shop equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventative maintenance, and calling for repairs
    • Contains costs by using warranty, evaluating service and parts options.
    • Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders, and verifying receipt
    • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
    • Focuses on safety through participation in training for equipment operation, use of appropriate PPE, and collaborating on daily and weekly job hazard analysis and documentation.
    • Performs parking area snow removal duties, operating heavy equipment.

    Requirements/Qualifications

    • High School diploma or equivalent.
    • Preferred AAS in mechanical technologies or two years experience as a shop or field mechanic.
    • Heavy equipment operation experience, preferred.
    • Possession of (or ability to obtain) a valid Colorado Driver’s License, with an acceptable driving record.  
    • General mechanical aptitude and capabilities, proficiency with basic hand tools, ability to identify and troubleshoot mechanical problems, and familiarity with various vehicle operations, hydraulics and maintenance.
    • Working knowledge of diesel engines, small engines, and bus components, preferred.
    • Basic knowledge and understanding of electrical and hydraulic schematics.
    • Ability to clock in/out daily on a computer kiosk. Ability to use a computer to look up procedures, etc.  Use of diagnostic tools.
    • Ability to communicate clearly (speak and understand) in English – verbal and written communications.
    • Ability to work at high altitudes, outdoors in extreme weather conditions
    • Able to lift, carry and push/pull up to 100 lbs
    • Proficient with basic hand tools and have a basic understanding of mechanical principles. Able to use specialized vehicle maintenance related tools.
    • Physically demanding position, often performing heavy lifting, pushing, pulling in potentially adverse weather conditions. 
    • Must have own set of basic metric and standard hand tools.
