Connecting people to the outdoors and each other on 68 acres on the Salt River in South Louisville.

Kampgrounds of America, Inc. (KOA) is the world’s largest network of privately owned campgrounds and the leader in outdoor hospitality. Founded in 1962, the mission of KOA is “connecting people to the outdoors and each other,” and those who represent the brand share the values of being family-oriented, passionate, entrepreneurial, customer-focused, and progressive.

Our beautiful 68-acre campground is located in the "blue grass" state of Kentucky, just south of Louisville. We enjoy the famous Derby, Church Hill Downs, Bourbon trails and so much more. We enjoy kayaking the Salt River, hiking and even cave exploring all just a short walk away from our campsites.

About Louisville South KOA

On 68 tree-lined acres where the Salt River meets Floyds Fork, you will find a place that is peaceful and set apart. As you make your way into the campground you will see the tree-lined road resting on the backdrop of rolling hills. Winding nature trails are in abundance to explore as you reach the Indian Cliff Dwellings or walk along the river. With the birds chirping as your drop a line in the Salt River to catch the first fish of the weekend, you will be transported to someplace else and uniquely connected to the outdoors. We believe there are intrinsic health benefits from being in nature. Even locals will stay a few miles from home because here at Louisville South KOA, you are welcomed like family, the days are filled with activities, and it's someplace you'll never want to leave.
