We are a private guest ranch at the foot of the Absaroka Beartooth Mountains, south of Big Timber, MT.

About Lion Head Ranch

This private guest ranch is exactly what comes to mind when one pictures Montana. With its open spaces and river running through the ranch, there are no shortfalls when it comes to beauty. The guest ranch portion of the ranch borders Natural Bridge State Park and is for the owners and their friends and family. The ranch is home to abundant herds of Deer, Elk, Antelope, and multiple Bird Species. The area is a true oasis in a remote, yet modern setting. This is the REAL Montana!

The Employee Experience

We have a small staff and all work closely together. You will have the opportunity to make great friends while working in a beautiful setting.  Located right in the mountains, there is plenty to explore when the time permits. 

Ideal Candidate

We are seeking out responsible, hardworking, detail-oriented individuals who are comfortable and confident in working independently as well as with the ranch managers and other co-workers. Long days are to be expected and expectations are high, however very attainable. The ideal candidate is a driven individual who strives to do their best on a regular basis. 

Room and Board

For Guest Services Positions: Female Dormitory only. Room and board are included as part of the compensation - private rooms with shared baths. Some meals are also provided.  Internet and landline phone services are provided.

Getting Here and Getting Around

In order to explore all our area has to offer, we recommend you drive to the ranch and have access to your own vehicle. This will ensure that you are able to obtain groceries and personal needs in a timely manner. Ranch vehicles will be used only for work-related chores and are not to be used for personal errands or outings. However, we can provide transportation to/from the airports in Bozeman or Billings, MT.

For Fun

On days off you can explore the beautiful mountains surrounding the guest ranch, visit Yellowstone National Park or enjoy a fun day in the Bozeman and or Billings area. If time allows, one can have the true Montana experience by getting to a rodeo or street dance, as well as a variety of fairs and festivals. There are no shortages to the actives that are available in one's free time!
