Our Jobs

Our season begins with a mandatory staff training. Most guides can expect to work 15-20 days per month through August, or even into September. Although all staff will begin as outdoor educators on our youth camp backpacking programs, there is potential to assist and lead custom guide service trips and day hikes. Outdoor educators and guides must be 21 years or older, and we have assistant positions for 18 and older. When you enter our application process, you will be asked if you would like to be considered for work in Yosemite National Park, or Olympic National Park

They will be trained prior to working in the field. Staff working in our Guide Service program can work an extended season from May-October as both Outdoor Educators and Guides on any of our programs. Our year-round demand is growing and additional work opportunities may also be available based on demand.
