Availability Dates

Please be honest and realistic about your date availability. Consider any travel time needed before or after your season.

Please note this is one of our primary determination factors for hiring. We hire a small staff and preference is given to those available for our entire peak season (and longer). Employees are expected to be available for their entire term (in other words it is very difficult for us to honor a time off request for a week in July).

Please be sure to provide an end date above.

Our season is short and weather-dependent. The earliest we open is Memorial Day (the last weekend in May) and usually close to the public in the second week of October.

For example: family reunions, weddings, camping permits, etc. This does not immediately exclude any candidate from being hired. We often make exceptions for qualified candidates. This is done with the understanding that spontaneous time off requests made during peak season (June 15-Labor Day) are difficult, if not impossible, to accommodate.

Working at Lake Alpine is an extremely different experience than working at Target, or the restaurant in your neighborhood, or literally anywhere else that has a town near it or that you don't have to temporarily move your whole life for. We want to be sure you understand and appreciate that.

Seriously, don't sweat it and just write the words as they come into your head. It doesn't need to be long. "I want to spend a couple months in the mountains and your mountains look dope", combined with a resume, is perfectly acceptable.
