A bold new retail experience is under construction on the Boardwalk, set to open in Spring 2026!

We're proud to introduce Mercantile — a seamless, walk-through luxury shopping destination combining three distinct yet interconnected concepts under one roof:

• The Hattery: Custom hat fitting, shaping, and a one-of-a-kind Custom Hat Bar where creativity comes to life.

• Lajitas Boot Co.: Handmade western boots, apparel, and fine leather accessories.

• Mercantile: Authentic Southwest sterling silver and turquoise jewelry, plus curated luxury gifts, collectibles, and art.

We're seeking a highly creative and artistic individual with genuine passion for crafting one-of-a-kind custom hats. If you thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment and love turning ideas into wearable art, this is your opportunity to shape something truly special.

This role combines artisanal craftsmanship with exceptional luxury retail service, creating memorable experiences for our discerning guests. No prior experience is necessary—we provide comprehensive training as an apprentice. A strong interest or knowledge in country western culture and fashion is highly desired. This is a lucrative position offering an hourly rate plus tips and commissions in a low-pressure sales environment where our premium products speak for themselves, enhanced by your impeccable service and attention to detail.
