Dependent on experience: $12.00-$15.00

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for executing and performing all property maintenance-related duties at the Maverick Ranch RV Park. This position requires the ability to perform a variety of routine and skilled maintenance, construction, custodial, landscaping, janitorial, and repair activities involving campground buildings, grounds, and equipment. This position works a varied schedule, which may include weekends and holidays.

Growth potential for this position to include a supervisorial role with an onsite RV spot.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties: (Specific areas of responsibility including, but not limited to)

  • Comply with all RV Park operating policies & procedures.
  • When necessary, escort guests to their designated site and assist with any questions. 
  • Welcome all guests in a friendly manner and assist with any questions or concerns during their stay at the RV Park. Help to ensure that all guests have an enjoyable experience while adhering to the park rules.
  • Stay current on shows, promotions, and future events within the resort and local area.  
  • Attend meetings and training as requested.
  • Perform various landscaping duties including but not limited to pruning, felling trees, hydroseeding, planting and watering trees, trimming grass, raking, dirt work, building retaining walls and tent pads, repairing/replacing fencing, improving drainages, installing signs, etc.
  • Perform various electrical and plumbing repairs.
  • Keep maintenance logs for all repairs/replacements required. 
  • Maintain Pool, Spa, and outside area. 
  • Keep Clubhouse clean.
  • Perform custodial duties including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and stocking restrooms and shower facilities, cleaning fire rings and campsites, litter pick-up, and general upkeep of the campgrounds
  • Keep all restrooms clean on property.
  • Stock, order and receive supplies for RV Park facilities.
  • Maintain a positive and safe work environment.
  • Perform other duties/tasks as required.

Qualifications:   

  • Possess high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Two (2) years prior maintenance experience or equivalent educational, training and work experience preferred.
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced, stress-filled environment. 
  • Be able to work holidays, evenings, and weekends.
  • Have the ability to professionally write reports and correspondence.
  • Be able to use hand and power tools effectively in a safe and appropriate manner. 
  • Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Be able to work outside in inclement weather and on uneven surfaces.

Physical Requirements:

  • Extensive physical activity required; regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or greater.
  • Regularly required to use hands to grasp, handle, feel and operate objects, tools, equipment, or controls, and required to lift and reach with hands and arms.
  • Required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, bend, kneel, reach, kneel, crouch, and climb; talk or hear customers and employees.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include near acuity, far acuity, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

  • Work in all kinds of weather conditions in mainly an outdoor environment, with exposure to weather, temperature extremes, and atmospheric conditions.
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud and will be loud during certain assignments.
  • Exposed to chemicals such as herbicides, pesticides, and fertilizers.
  • Frequently work near moving mechanical parts and/or heavy equipment, subject to electrical shock and vibration.
  • Use of campground maintenance equipment including tractors, mowers, skid steers, chainsaws, weed eaters, blowers, and various other related equipment.
  • Exposed to dirt, dust, grease, loud noises, foul odors, vibration, fumes, heights, work safety hazards, darkness, and cramped spaces.
  • Work will occur across uneven terrain, including hills, slopes, grades, and wetlands in both forested and open areas, which may present numerous slipping and tripping hazards and exposure to various forms of wildlife and their deposits.
