Badlands Emporium is the resort gift shop, located on The Boardwalk at Lajitas Golf Resort. Shoppers can discover a wide variety of gifts, souvenirs, apparel, and specialty items—perfect for resort guests or visitors exploring Big Bend.

The Badlands Emporium Clerk supports the Retail Manager in the daily operation of the gift shop by delivering exceptional guest service and helping to drive sales through strong product knowledge and customer engagement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Delivering exceptional guest service: Warmly greet guests, answer questions, offer product recommendations, and ensure a positive, memorable experience.

• Opening and closing the store on schedule, following all operational procedures.

• Processing transactions accurately as cashier, including sales, exchanges, returns, cash handling, and daily balancing.

• Completing daily and weekly operational checklists consistently.

• Maintaining an exceptionally clean and welcoming store environment.

• Organizing the backroom for efficient restocking and inventory access.

• Stocking shelves and assisting with creative merchandising and visually appealing product displays.

• Packaging items securely for shipment or guest carry-out.

• Supporting loss prevention by ensuring proper tagging and accurate transactions.

• Assisting with inventory management by conducting monthly inventory counts and tracking stock levels.

The independent nature of this role requires a dedicated individual who is punctual and reliable, customer-focused, and committed to maintaining the high standards of the Retail Department.
