Lajitas Resort is a 103 room resort with 18-hole golf course, spa, restaurant, saloon, 3 swimming pools, and a guest activity menu that includes shooting sports, equestrian riding, jeep rentals, stargazer dinners on site, and guided jeep and ATV trips with local vendors. We cater to a wide range of guests from celebrities to families and international clientele making it an exciting place to work!

Room and Board
Low cost employee housing (private/unfurnished) is available on site depending on availability and your needs. Depending on unit size, rents range in price from $47 to $175.00 (bi-weekly). Rents and electricity fees are payroll deducted. Once a month you are billed for 50% of the cost of electricity for your individual unit’s metered electric use (the company pays the other half). There are no other utility charges. Land line telephone, internet and satellite TV services are available to you at your choice through local area service providers.
Please Note: Housing is for full-time employees. We do not offer dorm-style housing, however employees can share a unit with a co-worker with both names on the lease agreement. These are stand-alone units and are not furnished so you will have to bring your own furniture and household items. A refundable housing deposit is required.

Getting Here and Getting Around
We are located on Highway 170 where the road bends to meet the Rio Grande which is 17 miles southwest the junction of Highways 118/170 at Terlingua, Texas. The resort is tucked between the Big Bend National Park and the Big Bend Ranch State Park. While a vehicle is not required at the resort with housing close to the facilities, a vehicle is useful for major shopping or outing trips to Presidio, located 55 miles southwest from the resort, or Alpine, located 95 miles north of the resort. To put it in perspective, we are approx 200 miles to the closest Wal-Mart in Fort Stockton, and 95 miles to the closest McDonalds or stop light in Alpine! We are here because we love the remoteness. No traffic, no big-city lights, creates an environment of peace and quiet and unsurpassed stargazing!
There are numerous activities including hiking, biking, rafting, and swimming at the resort or with our outfitters. There are more restaurant and shopping opportunities as close as 12 miles away. A full day trip could take in the Big Bend National Park, Big Bend Ranch State Park, Fort Davis and its’ historical park and town; the McDonald Observatory; art, shopping, and the Sul Ross State University in Alpine; the Marfa Lights and the town of Marfa; and much more!

f&b ala carte supervisor-f/t, year round
Seeking candidates that have a passion for the hospitality business with a specialty in Food and Beverage. Responsible for supervising ala carte service in our full-service, 3 meal per day restaurant. Qualified candidates must have 2 years experience in an management position in food and beverage, a food handlers certificate and a valid drivers license.
Manages and directs all hotel operations, rooms, housekeeping, front desk, reservations, guest services, and airport transportation. Resolves customer service issues daily; participates in weekly manager, revenue management, and safety meetings; prepares management reports as necessary.
Human Resource Manager F/T-Salary
Recruit, hire, pre-hire drug-testing, document management and control, maintain confidentiality. Problem solve issues related to HR, personnel, time keeping and payroll matters; provide support for timekeeping system; issue and reconcile paychecks; enter and audit payroll for processing
Landscape Supervisor - FT- year round / Salary
This position manages the landscape crew that keeps the resort grounds clean and looking its best. Works with or around 2 & 4 stroke-motors; manages a crew of six or more employees; works well with all other department heads; this is an outdoor position that starts at first light.
Pool Services Tech - FT
Retail Clerk - FT & Seasonal
Provide friendly and professional customer service through cashiering, cleaning and stocking store displays and storage, receiving and accounting deliveries; Accounting sales in POS, handling money, reconciling sales and register daily, providing information and assisting guests.
Retail Supervisor-Lajitas General Store
Manages General Store purchasing and inventory of retail, alcohol, tobacco and fuel. Manages staffing and food service from the deli; ensures certificates, permits and licenses are current; manage retail activity driven sales and ensures a safe environment. Anticipating February start.
RV Park Attendant/Work Camper
Must have own RV. Experienced and novice RVers are welcome. Team players willing to pitch in to help in all areas as needed. Maverick Ranch RV Park is open year round, serves a wide range of guests and hosts clubhouse and outdoor events all season. Trade site for time worked plus paid time.
Water Treatment Plant Manager
This position is responsible with the assistance of one additional staff member, for all water/wastewater production and care at the resort. Must have a minimum of Class D certification in both water and waste water management in Texas. This position requires consistent physical requirements such as walking, standing, bending, stooping, climbing of ladders and carrying over 50lbs. Minimum of 2 years experience is required, management background recommended.
Zip Line Guide - FT and Seasonal
Lajitas Zipline is now accepting guide applications for the 2017 spring, summer, and fall season. Previous zipline experience is NOT necessary. We provide all the necessary training needed to turn you into a high quality professional zipline guide. We have a beautiful location with excellent and affordable (seasonal or fulltime) housing. Zipline Assistant Manager-F/T, Permanent or Seasonal
This position assists the Zipline Manager with managing, recruiting, hiring and evaluating zipline team members. Assists with maintenance of the zipline facilities including preform pre-use and monthly inspections. Assists with reviewing and updating policies and procedures for areas managed and establishing relationships with leaders in our community. The Assistant manager provides reports to the Zipline manager regarding activities, revenues, and expenses and evaluates program data to provide documentation for program proposals and budgets including assistance with strategic pans, goals and objectives. 3 years experience is required in Zipline or challenge course industry as well as a current CPR and First Aid Certification, valid drivers license and high school diploma. Wilderness First Responder certification is recommended but not required. Experience with training, management of team members and ability to work nights/weekends and holidays also required.
