    The Brewer/Cellar I position serves in a core production role for brewing operations and is considered apprentice level for the brewing trade.  This position will develop a clear understanding of production process and flow.   When fully trained they will be responsible for all aspects of beer production from wort to bright beer and help uphold the standards of quality at Pelican.  This position helps bring “Brewed with Purpose” to life.

    Physical Demands

    While performing the duties of this job, the staff are regularly required to walk and stand; regular use of hands; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. Staff must be able to work on their feet for 8-10 hours per day.  Intermittent lifting of 44 lb. boxes of hops, 55lb. bags of grain, climb stairs/ladders, grip and manual dexterity are helpful.

    The Meridian GM plays a critical role in providing extraordinary coastal experiences to the guests of Headlands Lodge. This exceptional property and dining experience is unlike anything else on the Oregon Coast.  This position will work closely with the Director of Lodging and the Director of Food & Beverage.

    WHAT DOES SUCCESS LOOK LIKE

    The General Manager of Meridian will be the brand and experience ambassador to our guests as well as our teams. The General Manager will seek and train team members to share an extraordinary coastal experience to all who visit. Meridian GM will work closely with Headlands Coastal Lodge and Spa GM to provide a seamless and extraordinary coastal experience.

    You will steward the brand and experience in partnership with the Headlands GM in a way that draws the best team and engages them for a lifetime

    • 5+ years general manager experience in a full service luxury restaurant -hotel environment; independent boutique hotel  or resort experience preferred.

    The Night Audit is responsible for all overnight guest services as well as the balancing of the daily charges and payments, daily checklist and business flash reports and routine tasks that ensure our operation runs smoothly throughout the day.  The Night Manager must be resourceful, a creative problem solver and excellent communicator as you will be the primary contact for overnight for guests.   We work as one team to support each other and provide extraordinary guest experiences at each of our properties. 

    Performance Objective

    Execute a variety of financial transactions.  This includes light accounting task such as; balancing charges and payments, verifying tills, preparing a summary of cash, check and credit card transactions, completing daily business revenue and labor flash reports.

    Front Desk Duties.   You will be responsible  for the daily operational tasks of the front desk that you encounter overnight.  This includes but is not limited to;  knowing the property details, amenities and services, utilizing the property management software to make reservations, process deposits & authorizations and process guest transactions.   You will also support the daily operations by completing a daily checklist of duties that help support the operations.  This includes but is not limited to;  making photo copies of guest information sheets, writing guest notes, filling water bottles and stocking supplies. 

    Perform administrative tasks.  Ensure that guest requests and information is documented and passed along to the morning team through a detailed shift report and in person. .  Answer the telephone and make reservations when required.

    Leverage your hotel experience.  Be passionate and take pride in creating a first class experience for our guest.  We believe in doing what we say always.  

    Command of Microsoft Office.  In order to track things such as room revenues, occupancy rates, housekeeping room status reports, arrival and departure reports. Or track cash and credit card transactions.
