For Fun

Keystone isn’t typical run of the mill ski resort, because whether you’re a thrill-seeking-adventure junkie or simply looking for a nice relaxing mountain experience, when it comes to our alpine inspired Activities Keystone offers a mountain of possibilities.

For inidviduals looking for a bit of excitement on their vacation, look no further than Adventure Point atop Dercum Mountain. Adventure Point is home to the world’s highest snow tubing hill; 6 lanes, 200 yards long, a steep vertical drop pushing you to 30mph, this is an unforgettable experience for both kids and adults. Or try your hand at Snowbiking; a combination of skiing and mtn. biking, this easy to learn activity is a great way to spend a day on the mountain. Our guides provide two hour lessons that show you the basics of how to maneuver a snowbike, and will have you taking runs down the slopes in no time. Keystone also is home to not one, but two outdoor zamboni maintained ice rinks in the River Run Village and Lakeside Village, so come rent some skates, play a game of pick-up hockey, and take in the breathtaking views as you speed around the ice.

If a nice relaxing day is your preference, Keystone is home to a number of signature Activities that showcase the breathtaking alpine environment as well as unique insight on the local history. Even if you’re not a skier or snowboarder, you can experience the breathtaking scenic views of the Continental Divide, Gore Range, and Ten Mile Range as our guides at Keystone Adventure Tours (KAT) take you into Keystone’s back bowls in the warmth of a heated Snowcat on our Mtn. Top Cat Tours. Or for a true western experience, the Keystone Stables offers a one-of-a-kind experience with their Scenic Sleigh Rides. A team of 2,000 lb draft-horses pull you through the Soda Creek Valley to a series of historic homestead era cabins, a registered national historic place, for a cup of hot spiced apple cider as our authentic wranglers share stories about the horses and frontier history.

For the intense, powder hungry guests, look no further than our Guided Cat Ski Tours. With this private day of skiing or snowboarding, our guides provide you with powder skis (sorry snowboarders) for the day and take you into Keystone’s back bowls in the warmth of a snowcat to some truly amazing terrain, stopping for lunch at a remote Yurt for a catered lunch of soups, salads, sandwiches, and even dessert. There’s no better way to truly experience the terrain and backcountry feel than on a Keystone Guided Cat Ski Tour.
