Grosvenor is a very small, private operation accommodating a maximum of 6 guests at a time and operates under a Park Service Concession Contract. Grosvenor truly provides the "it feels like my own fishing lodge" experience and is ideal for families, business associates or a group of fishing buddies. Guests are accommodated in the three guest cabins which have heat and electricity. A completely modern bathhouse is situated right next to the cabins. The kitchen and dining area feature a great view of Grosvenor Lake.
The narrows area adjacent to the lodge provides excellent fishing. Grosvenor also has access by jet boat to some of the area's finest fishing streams. Two of the rivers accessible from Grosvenor are the largest spawning streams for sockeye salmon in the Naknek drainage, getting more than 100,000 fish each annually.
The principal program at Grosvenor is sportfishing and the entire operation is run by two employees. Employees must have excellent customer service skills to help make the guest feel right at home.
Job requirements: Extensive fishing experience in all phases of freshwater fishing including fly-fishing, casting, trolling, fly-tying, spin fishing. Extensive boat handling skills and boat maintenance. The manager is also required to have experience with general camp repairs and maintenance of lodge equipment. Limited OUPV License for the Freshwaters and Rivers of Western Alaska or other USCG License required. Other certifications include serve safe manager food training and Alaska alcohol serving certification. Must be physically fit and the ability to lift and carry 70 lbs.
