As the KRH Operations Manager, you'll play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of this beloved Alaskan destination, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently. Under the guidance of the General Manager, you will have the opportunity to lead a dedicated team, drive operational excellence, and contribute to the growth and success of our company.
Responsibilities:
As KRH Operations Manager, you’ll be integral to a vibrant and dynamic environment. You’ll be responsible for:
Leadership & Strategy:
Collaborating closely with the General Manager to align daily operations with the broader strategic goals of the company.
Contributing to developing long-term operational plans and budgets, ensuring we are always on the path to success.
Team Building & Development:
Leading our seasonal workforce by guiding department leads, driving recruitment efforts, preparing work schedules, and developing impactful training programs.
Helping your team grow through performance evaluations, career development, and ensuring a positive work environment where all employees feel valued and supported.
Operational Excellence:
Ensuring all facilities are well-maintained and that heating, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems are always in top working condition.
Overseeing the smooth operation of our automotive and bus fleet, ensuring transportation for guests is reliable and efficient.
Managing seasonal projects and facility improvements, ensuring safety, comfort, and long-term sustainability.
Approving and managing the ordering of operational supplies for maintenance, housekeeping, grounds, and kitchen operations.
Customer Engagement & Business Development:
Working with the Sales & Reservations team to ensure accurate and efficient reservations and billing.
Fostering positive relationships with customers, businesses, the National Park Service, and local community organizations to enhance the KRH experience and attract new business.
Problem-Solving & Conflict Resolution:
Identifying and resolving operational issues as they arise, maintaining a strong focus on customer service and internal efficiency.
Ensuring employee disputes are resolved fairly for company policies and individual concerns.
