Johnson's of St Mary
Job List

Our Jobs

Johnson's target customer base includes the three-million plus tourists that visit Glacier National Park each year. Johnson's is one of only a few restaurants located on the east entrance of Glacier National Park, in St. Mary Montana.

Our seasonal business is open from mid-May to late September, consistent with the Park's season. With so many tourists visiting the area, Johnson's 150 site campground is often sold out, and the cafe is always full.

Our employee positions include: cooks, prep-cooks, servers, dishwashers, camping cabin cleaners, maintenance and camp-store personnel.  Our cafe is very unique as we've been making all of our food from scratch since 1950.

Johnson's prides itself on providing delicious homemade food with fast and friendly service. As such, we are looking for quality kitchen and wait staff that will provide our customers with food and service that people have come to expect from Johnson's. Johnson's is a one-of-a-kind establishment.

Johnson's provides all of its employees with on-the-job training.  Employees can expect a very high pace and at times, high-stress job environment. Many tourists have come off a long hike or other recreational activity and are looking to eat at the "World Famous Johnson's Cafe." Many of our past employees love working at Johnson's and living in the area due to its outdoor recreational activities.

Cooks and prep-cooks are expected have a solid understanding of the culinary arts. As stated above, Johnson's makes all of its dishes from scratch.  Servers must exhibit the ability to be courteous, friendly and maintain a level of professionalism with other coworkers and customers.  Johnson's does provide all employees with on-the-job training.

Johnson's has on-site female and male dormitories, and offers campsites for employees wanting to camp for the season.  Johnson's also provides a free, 30 amp campsite for employees who have their own RV. There are 2000 plus seasonal workers in and around glacier park, so employees will have an opportunity to meet people from all over the world.

Some of Johnson's employees will start at the beginning of the season and others will be staggered in up until the first part of June.
