    JOB DESCRIPTION

    POSITION:  Cook 1

    REPORTS TO:  Executive Sous Chef/Sous chef

    DEPARTMENT:  F&B Bridger Restaurants

    CLASSIFICATION Hourly

    FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt

     

    General Purpose

    -Is responsible for station mise en place and prep

    -Can properly and thoroughly clean all line equipment

    -Has a sense of urgency while providing a consistent quality product to chefs’ satisfaction

    -Can execute dishes to a high end fine dining standard in a timely and organized manner

    Has knowledge of and can execute the proper butchery of meats and fish

    -Knowledgeable about all products and locality of those products.

    -Has a vast knowledge of product placement within all restaurant location(s)

    -Helps with menu ideas, including the research of food, ingredients, food trends, and composing and      developing ideas for the menu.

    -Understands general food and labor cost principals.

    -Is responsible for keeping tabs on pars and managing not only the inventory of their stations, but the stations of lower level employees in a way that minimizes waste while keeping pars at their proper levels.

    -Actively help Chefs with supervision and quality control.

     

    Essential Functions

    -Set an example to all new staff and be able to instruct on kitchen protocol

    -Be able to assist Chefs on special projects, overall kitchen management, and menu development

    -Be constantly aware of the clock to ensure proper readiness for all service periods

    -Be able to follow exact instructions with a sense of urgency

    -Responsible to learn all food products

    -Has the ability to safely handle knives, mandolins, slicers, blenders and various other kitchen equipment

    -Has excellent knowledge of, and can execute, the fabrication of fish/meats and can train others to do so

    -Adheres to JHMR/Teton Co. Health Dept. Hand Washing Policy

    -Demonstrates proper hygiene

    -Is a team player 

    -Can talk to and serve public if needed.

     

    Other Functions

    -Report anything that needs immediate attention to the appropriate manager

    -Work with all restaurant staff to better serve guest

    -Assist management in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen at all times

    -Always on time and in proper uniform at beginning of shift including proper footwear

    Job Qualifications

    Knowledge, Skills & Ability

    -Excellent knowledge of food products and handling

    -Be able to safely operate all kitchen equipment

    -Extremely strong understanding of restaurant work

    -Willingness to learn preparation and handling of ingredients

    -Able to multitask on various levels under very high stress levels

    -Strong understanding of personal hygiene and sanitation techniques as they pertain to restaurant work

    -Can effectively communicate between language barriers.

     

    Education or Formal Training

    -High school diploma or equivalent

    -Formal culinary training preferred                  

    -Serve safe or equivalent preferred

     

    Experience                                                                                                                

    -Minimum 2-4 years fine dining experience required

    CLASSIFICATION: FT/PT Seasonal

     

    General Purpose

    • To provide the highest level of customer service to ALL JHMR Guests, both internal and external.
    • To provide efficient sales and reservation orders of all eStore products as well as Lift Tickets, Rentals, Vouchers, and ALL Mountain Sports School and Kids Ranch products.
    • Increase revenue through cross selling and up selling JHMR and JHRL products and other JHMR profit centers.
    • Understand and embrace JHMR goals, initiatives and strategy statement. “Always an ambassador!”
    • Answering all Reservation Lines which may include or exclude on a daily basis: Reservation Center (x2654), MSS Reservations (x2532), KR Reservations (x6254), Guest Service Center (x2753), JHMR Admin Line (x2500), MSS/KR Sales (x2527, x6259), Ticket Office (x2640).
    • Responding to JHMR emails including or excluding on a daily basis: First.LastName@jacksonhole.com customerservice@jacksonhole.comverticalfootclub@jacksonhole.cominfo@jacksonhole.com,

    Essential Functions

    • Ability to quickly understand and deliver the guests needs.
    • Through active participation in training, gain a thorough knowledge of all JHMR products & operations as well as essential RTP modules
    • Assist JHMR guests with selecting products that best meet their expectations and goals
    • Understand operations and sales procedures for Mountain Sports School: private lessons, adult and kids class lessons, adult ski and snowboard camps, daycare, and vender Nordic products.
    • Understand operations and sales procedures for Ticket & Season Pass Office.
    • Understand what the Guest Service Center can provide to JHMR guests.
    • Assure proper cash handling, charging procedures and voucher/eStore redemption.
    • Assist in other aspects of CCR and TO operations as needed

    Specific Functions – Guest Service Center Reservationist

    • Knowledge of JHMR & Valley Information, Products, Locations, Vendors, Activities, and Events.
    • Assist guests with the most accurate, up-to-date information for all JHMR products and general inquires.
    • Ability to multi-task; answer phones, help guests in person, assist with Live Chat, all while selling tickets and creating orders.
    • Knowledge of Front Line sales of all JHMR products with the ability to sell and create orders over the phone and in person. (Exception: Retail Products)
    • Communication with all JHMR departments and Chamber of Commerce.
    • Managing JHMR Lost & Found by using RepoApp, entering, tagging, organizing, and releasing items.
    • Vertical Food Club information, stats, and how-to use JH Tapped. Keeping VFC merchandise stocked.
    • Gift Cards Processing (Mountain Money Card & Couloir Fine Dining Gift Cards). Ability to check Gift Card balances and understand charges.
    • eStore Product Fulfillment for Ticket Sales (new RFID J Card), Wholesale Orders, etc.
    • Customer Care – Greased Jackets, We Care Cards, and any “strange” situation.
    • Communication with departments using NetNotify, Infoneige, and emails.
    • Constantly checking www.jacksonhole.com and estore.jacksonhole.com for correct information.
    • Work with CCR Supervisor/Manager with special guest or employee needs.
    • Well versed with customer manager in RTP. Able to merge customers in RTP as they arise.

    Specific Functions – Reservation Center Reservationist

    • eStore Reservations & ability to troubleshoot products including:
      • ALL Mountain Sports School & Kids Ranch products and camps.
      • Retail/Rental products & Mountain Delivery.
      • Gift Cards, Lift Tickets & Season Passes
      • Marketing & Special Events (example: Dick’s Ditch & Gondi Gala)
    • Ability to multi-task. Answer phones, helps guests in person, assist with Live Chat, while selling tickets and creating orders.
    • Assist guests with the most accurate, up-to-date information for all JHMR products and general inquires.
    • Knowledge of Front Line sales of all JHMR products with the ability to sell and create orders over the phone and in person. (Exception: Retail Products)
    • Ability to check guest charges and Gift Card balances.
    • x2654 - Troubleshoot eStore log-in and other guest issues using Live Chat. RFID “Hot Seat” Overflow.
    • Call, Live Chat & email with guests to troubleshoot eStore problems or answer general information.
    • Rental Delivery – Mountain Direct, 48 hours in advance
      • Preparing info packet and preprinting J Cards for Mountain Direct to pick up and deliver.
    • Email order confirmations and provide accurate pre-arrival information.
    • Constantly checking www.jacksonhole.com and estore.jacksonhole.com for correct information & emailing marketing with updates.
    • Well versed with customer manager in RTP. Able to merge customers in RTP as they arise.
    • Work with CCR Supervisor/Manager with special guest or employee needs.
