Although in Aspen there are two main seasons, winter and summer, Hotel Jerome is always hiring! We are hiring in our F&B, Culinary, Front Office, Rooms, Engineering, Sales, Catering & Conference Services and T&C Departments.
Summer Seasonal Dates: 5/15-10/31
Winter Season Date: Thanksgiving - 4/15
Even though we close for a few short weeks in between the seasons, we offer FTYR employment. During this time our team members can either continue working through the off season on special projects, task force at our sister properties (this is great way to see other properties within the Auberge Resorts Collection) or take the time off and enjoy some travel!
We require all new and returning team members to be back the week before out opening day for summer season for a fun week of training, team building and activities.
As long as you maintain the 32 hours per week, we offer all sorts of perks and benefits to our team members. Everything from medical, dental, vision, PTO and Sick Time.

- Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items, prices, preparation method/time, ingredients and quality standards of taste, appearance, texture, serving temperature, portion size, garnish and method of presentation.
- Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons, and drunk driving.

- Maintain cleanliness of tables, service areas, and equipment
- Stock all wares and equipment needed for service
- Maintain complete knowledge of table/seat/station numbers, room capacity, and proper table setup.
- Understand and anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests, however busy and at whatever time of day.
- Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
- Handle guest complaints following procedures and ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Maintain table cleanliness throughout the guest experience.
- Remove all courses once completed by the entire table with the proper verbiage.
- Remove and transport soiled wares from tables to the dishwashing area as assigned. Separate soiled wares and food according to procedures.
- Clean and reset a table for the next group of guests within 4 minutes of a table having departed.
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of assigned tables.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 18 years of age
- 1-year experience in a restaurant or hotel
- Experience in a luxury setting is a plus

- Greet and bid farewell to all incoming and departing guests.
- Answer restaurant phones with proper verbiage and etiquette.
- Assign all reservations to Open Table reservation system and ensure to not overbook any one timeslot or section.
- Assist in overseeing the restaurant flow in regards to all guest placements.
- Track and update guest profiles using Open Table Guest Note and Reservation Note systems. Assist in the maintenance of the restaurant area and equipment.
- Prepare station chart and assign stations to staff following departmental procedures.
- Guide servers, assistant servers, and bus persons in table set-up to ensure optimum service to the guests.
- Communicate VIP arrivals and special requests to designated personnel for follow-up.
- Inspect condition and cleanliness of menus and wine lists; ensure designated amounts are inserted into each menu. Update menus and wine lists as changes occur.
Required Qualifications- 1-year experience as a Host or in Customer Service

- Assisting guests in beverage and drink preparation, servicing of the bar area and the restaurant in an efficient and timely manner
- Relate with guests about needs, satisfaction with the beverage and drinks, ensuring a consistently caring and high-quality service
- Be knowledgeable about the drink offerings mentioned in the menu as well as all standard drinks to assist guest in choosing their beverage based on likes/dislikes
- Comply with Hotel Jerome / Forbes standards within the Bar and Restaurant outlets.
- Contribute to improving the F&B sales revenues by being knowledgeable about drinks, cocktails, spirits, and other menu items, specials, and prices
- Accurately and quickly, take and place orders and input them into the Micros system ensuring correct timing and billing
- Prepare the guest check accurately and collect payment or signature, as required
- Operate, maintain and properly clean all bar equipment and fittings
- Ensure that the bar is well-stocked at all times
- Use safe food handling procedures and maintain a safe working environment by using proper food-handling skills and food safety guidelines
Required Qualifications
- One to three years of experience as a Bartender
- Prior experience in a luxury setting is a plus

- Maintain and strictly abide by state sanitation/health regulations and resort requirements.
- Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment; use equipment and tools only as intended, properly, and safely.
- Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental/resort policies and procedures, other information pertinent to the job performance.
- Meet with Sous Chef to review assignments, anticipate business levels, changes, and other information pertinent to the job performance.
- Ensure cleanliness and working condition of all tools
- Understand your ingredients and utilize them properly in order to minimize waste and maintain controls.
- Organize and maintain production via prep lists and/or production lists as formulated by Sous Chefs, as well as Station Cooks.
Required Qualifications
- 1-year cook experience; culinary education preferred.

- Ensure the guest experience meets or exceeds all Hotel Jerome quality and service standards from Check-in to Check-out.
- Preparing all necessary documents, such as registration cards, spa treatments, and restaurant confirmation, as well as any other item that may support efficient and timely check-in/out processes.
- Ensuring that any Guest preferences (i.e. Bespoke Options and/or Experiences, Room specifics) are recorded on the Opera guest history page and are well introduced to the appropriate departments for follow-up.
- Escorting guests to their room, Restaurants, Bathroom, etc.
- Responding promptly and tactfully to any Guest complaint that may arise.
- Ensuring correct billing arrangement is provided according to Front Desk policies and procedures.
- Make sure that any irregularities and discrepancies are recorded on the departmental logbook and brought to the attention of the MOD and/or General Manager.
- Act as an ambassador of the hotel by providing Guests any reservation, information, amenities, area attractions, spa, and dining booking, as needed.
- Organize and maintain the Front Desk counter, ensuring that all materials and supplies are readily available and accessible to expedite smooth departmental out procedures.
- Is familiar with all Hotel Jerome facilities so as to be able to address, assist and actively sell services to guests.
- Ensure that an adequate amount of money, either coins or notes, is available during the shift so as to accommodate cash transactions.
- Must maintain excellent relationships within the Front Office Department and must familiarize oneself with the operations and priorities of all other hotel operating departments.

- Ensure guests are greeted and assisted curbside within 60 seconds of arriving
- Assists guests with luggage automatically and escorted or directed to the reception area
- Opens doors and assists guests and visitors into and out of their vehicles.
- Communicate parking procedures to guests/visitors.
- Provide luggage tags for stored luggage.
- Park guest vehicles.
- Ensure all driveways are kept clear and vehicles are not parked or left standing in illegal spaces.
- Relay accurate directions to guests/visitors on inquiries regarding destinations within the local area.
- Maintain accurate knowledge of local attractions and activities to recommend for guest inquiries.
- Handle guest complaints ensuring guest satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- Experience as a Bellperson or in Customer Service

- Leave all work in a safe and clean condition
- Use of all power tools safely, including pressure washers and compressors
- Gas-fired equipment repair
- Troubleshooting and/or repair of electronic equipment to include all office and audiovisual equipment
- Respond to all Guest Requests within fifteen minutes of notification
- Respond to all priority work orders within ten minutes of notification
- Respond to all emergency or life-threatening situations
- Follow established safety procedures
- Log and communicate all essential information in the Engineering logbook
- Move various objects for relocation and/or access
- Assist other maintenance personnel with their job functions

- Onboard new hires; enter new hire paperwork into HRIS system, complete Form I-9, process rent deductions, assign lockers, set up in biometrics system & coordinate discounted bus program
- Set up the Talent & Culture office with necessary supplies and resource materials; maintain cleanliness throughout administrative office areas
- Maintain inventory of office supplies
- Maintains team member files and filing; including electronic or paper as needed
- Promote positive relations with team members
- Maintain confidentiality and security of specified T&C information, correspondence, reports and files
- Responsible for recognition programs including monthly birthday and anniversary cards and J Bucks
- Assists with the coordination of and participation in employee events and activities including social responsibility programs, holiday events, service awards events and ENRICH recognition celebrations.

- Maintain accurate employee records and update the process as needed to maintain compliance
- Maintain team member recognition programs, ensuring team member engagement and satisfaction

Required Qualifications
- Preferably 1-2 years administrative assistant capacity and/or human resources.
- Ability to clearly communicate in English with guests/visitors and resort personnel to their understanding.
- Preferably bilingual in Spanish, verbal and written
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated computer proficiency including word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, calendaring and proficiency with data entry, database management and report writing.
- Preferably 1 year of experience in the hospitality industry.

- Clean assigned rooms according to system standards including the bedroom/living room, bathroom, and furnishings. Ensure the highest possible degree of cleanliness and maintenance of such areas.
- Remove dirty linen and replace with clean par to designated layout.
- Place and restock appropriately guest amenities, bath amenities, facial and toilet tissue, literature, and other collateral; ensure adequate and supply for arriving guests.
- Ensure proper setting, placement, and working order of clock, TV, thermostat, light, and other fixtures. Report any deficiencies to management.
- Inspect all door and window locks to ensure they are in working order and alert management to an unsecured or unsafe situation for the safety of guests and associates.
- Report any "out of the ordinary" circumstances, including exceptionally dirty studios, missing items, or studio status discrepancies (clean, dirty, vacant, occupied).
- Maintain and restock work cart each day; responsible for proper utilization of equipment, supplies, and guest amenities.
- Inspect linens before placing them in studios and return below standard pieces to Laundry.
- Responsible for the proper administration of key control for issued keys and keys left by guests in rooms.
- Adhere to the lost and found procedure, ensuring the proper retrieval and placement of items found upon a guest's departure.
- Ensure absolute respect for guests' personal property as well as the confidentially and security of all guest studios.
- Graciously accommodate guests' requests; engage each guest with a smile and appropriate hospitality greeting.
- Make suggestions for improvements in overall operations with an emphasis on increasing guest satisfaction, revenue, and reducing costs.
