Heartland Pride Outfitters is seeking highly motivated & dependable individuals to join our Team of Guides and help us through spring and fall hunting seasons. We work 2 months in the spring guiding turkey hunts (April-May) and 4.5 months in the fall/winter guiding antelope, some elk, whitetails, and mule deer (late August-September-October-November-December) and break for Thanksgiving & Christmas. This is contract labor and seasonal work. You will not need to permanently relocate to our locations, we will provide your lodging throughout your duration with us. We’ll work with and around anyone’s schedule who is able to help. Perfect fit would be able to help both spring and fall but if you’re not able to we understand. Prior Guide Experience would be a great plus but will Train the right applicants who are willing to join the Team and possess the right character & skill. Pay will also depend on experience. Applicants must possess a clean driving record & valid driver’s license and have a 4WD vehicle while guiding for us. Pickups with extended or crew cabs are preferred but SUV’s will work too. You will be required to transport hunters to and from the hunting locations back to place of lodging. -Be able to lift 50 to 100 pounds-be detail focused-have a passion for the outdoors-be customer oriented & focused-able to work long days & maintain a positive attitude-enjoy the experience of taking others hunting and being successful-be able to record the statistics of their hunt-have 4WD vehicle-able to read maps and take down details directions to properties and stand locations-willing to jump in and help whoever needs it throughout the hunts-
-$100.00-$125.00/day depending on experience plus all your hunt tips. All Lodging expenses are included while you’re guiding for us. We pay for all your fuel/gas while transporting hunters throughout the hunt. Guides are able to earn an extra 10% of the hunt cost for any hunts they book for the company while working for HPO.
Nebraska Camps Guide Responsibilities:
Spring Turkey, have the ability to Run & Gun turkeys & take hunters to & from ground blind locations. Fall Antelope, Mule Deer, & Whitetail, be able to take hunters to & from their ground blind and tree stand locations safely, read maps, and follow directions from the Camp Manager on where to take your hunters. Will need to transport hunters to and from hunting properties. Will be spot and stalking mule deer and some antelope with archery, rifle, or muzzleloader equipment. Will be required to scout and check stealth cameras prior to hunt & put out water/feed/mineral/corn as needed for the deer & turkey. Report all SD cards to Camp Manager at your location so we can file them for display to the hunters. Help maintain properties such as roads, walking lanes, maintain ground blinds during season along with tree stand shooting lanes and such during the fall. You’ll clean animals that your hunters have killed. You’ll be responsible for tagging, cleaning, and bagging of their animals. It is always a team effort so the other guides in camp will help if they’re not busy with their own animals. HPO will be sure and train you on the protocol for each animal for the state you’re hunting in. Sometimes you will be required to run to a nearby airport and do a pickup or drop off for our customers.
