The Alpine Guide will serve as a versatile member of the Green Mountain Staff in a capacity designed to surpass the expectations of Brush Creek Ranch guests.  In addition to guiding guests while at Green Mountain, the Alpine Guide will serve as a first responder and assist medical personnel, if needed.  All members of the Green Mountain Staff are responsible for assisting with mountain operations, general maintenance, upkeep, and cleaning of facilities.  Please note: Green Mountain is a remote alpine retreat that is only accessible in winter months by tracked vehicles.

The Alpine Guide will spend many of their workdays with Green Mountain guests and are charged with ensuring an exceptional and safe guest experience.  This will include skiing/snowboarding with guests of all ages and ability, providing instruction as requested, leading show shoe tours, and serving as a first responder to medical emergencies.  The Alpine Guide will also be responsible for transporting guests and their equipment between properties/shuttle points, outfitting guests, maintaining rental/demo equipment, and assisting with all aspects of mountain operations.

The Alpine Guide is/has:

  • Versatile, team player
  • Safety-conscious mindset
  • Proficient downhill skier and/or snowboarder
  • Able to withstand harsh, winter conditions for prolonged periods of time
  • Experience with nordic/cross-country skiing, or ability/willingness to learn
  • Guiding/outdoor industry experience

Able to perform a variety:

  • Ski area/mountain operations work experience (Preferred)
  • PSIA/AASI Certification(s) or equivalents (Preferred)
  • NSP OEC Certification (Preferred)
  • WEMT/WFR (Preferred)
  • Experience operating snowmobile, UTVs, and ATVs (Preferred)
