ABOUT THE POSITION
We are seeking a skilled ServSafe Line Cook who shares our fresh-is-best, made-from-scratch food philosophy. We have recipes to follow with a tried and true seasonal menu popular among our guests. We are seeking a positive and professional influencer among fellow employees and one to keep a high standard for cleanliness in the workspace.
Our kitchen is currently being renovated, with final completion set for June of 2019. We are seeking immediate hire with a start date of April 8th. In the initial months of the position, you will be working from a mobile kitchen space until the kitchen remodel is complete with a focus on serving a scaled-down menu exclusive to the Lodge's inn guests for breakfast daily and dinner service Tuesday-Saturday. In your first week, you'll be trained in the execution of the menu with our restaurant owner and creative lead, Deb Adams. As you see, there will be some flexibility required as we transition to our new kitchen, so we do need a personality type that embraces versatility.
If you are a new graduate or an experienced line cook that remains a forever student of their craft, or a seasoned self-taught line cook with a passion for farm-to-table cooking, we are interested in hearing from you!
Being a willing learner and able to follow established processes is necessary for success. Immediate start date is soon: April 8th (start date can be negotiated). Initial training will take place on April 8th-12th. The season runs from April to end of October. There is potential for permanent employment based on performance. Onsite housing can be provided with the position. Wage is based on skill set and is negotiable.
