  • Housekeeping Attendant for Lodge

    Housekeeping
    Fontana Dam, North Carolina

    Perform routine duties in cleaning and servicing of guest rooms and baths under supervision of housekeeping supervisor. Room attendant promotes a positive image of the property to guests and must be pleasant, honest, and friendly.  Should also be able to address guest requests and problems.

    Responsibilities:

    Maid Service

    • Enters and prepares the room for cleaning
    • Makes beds
    • Dusts the room and furniture
    • Replenishes guestroom and bath supplies
    • Cleans the bathroom
    • Cleans the closet
    • Vacuums carpet
    • Checks and secures the room
    • Replenish amenities according to the operational standards
    • Deliver and retrieve items on loan to guests (iron and ironing boards)
    • Ensure security of guest rooms and privacy of guests
    • Clean guests bathroom/bedroom/floor corridor

    Clean Room Service

    • Upon the check-out of a guest the room/cabins will be completely stripped of bed lines, towels and garbage
    • Room will be completely vacuumed, dusted and bathroom cleaned

    • Beds will be made with fresh linen
    • Bathroom will be cleaned and replenished of all guest supplies
    • Room will be checked for any shortages, damages or security issues

    The job of a Recreation Attendant at Fontana Village Resort & Marina is a very vital position. We are the team that provides the activities and entertainment, which is essential for our guests visiting Fontana Village. The job is very diverse and encompasses many different facilities on and off the immediate resort property.

    Skills (Required): Extremely personable, knowledge of basic sports equipment and recreational programs, being able to adapt quickly, basic Microsoft Office knowledge, use of basic facilities maintenance equipment/tools

  • Dock Attendant

    The dock attendant is responsible for the maintenance of the marina, grounds and the cleanliness of the boat rentals. They provide information and assistance to the boating public as needed.

    • Provides the highest level of customer service
    • Carries out routine cleaning duties that meet established quality standards for all marina related operations
    • Inspecting, maintaining, repairing Marina docks, equipment, grounds
    • Conducting inventory of parts/supplies needed for dock maintenance
    • Check dock lines and utility connections on a daily basis or as requested
    • Assistance in general Marina house cleaning, maintenance and repairs
    • Respond to boaters hailing the marina on the radio and assist as necessary
    • Knowledge of rental rates
    • Knowledge of Marina regulations and enforcement procedures
    • Assists in securing rental boats to docks
    • Routinely operates motor and water vehicles and other mechanized equipment
    • Gas attendant- fuels all water craft at the marina (guests & rentals). Ensures proper care and safety to customers and property while securing and releasing dock lines and otherwise assisting customer's arrival/departure from fuel dock
    • Provide customer service and assistance for fuel dock store purchases, including handling cash and credit transactions
    • Regularly monitor fuel levels of gas tanks and have gas ordered when necessary
    • Any other duties as assigned by the Marina Manager

    Qualifications:

    • Boat knowledge (especially proper docking/tie up for power and sailboats) preferred
    • Strong customer service skills, preferably retail cashier
    • Excellent work ethic: reliability, responsibility and ability to work independently with little direct supervision
    • Pleasant personality and ability to get along with customers, co-workers & Park Rangers, TVA Officers
    • Experience with the following hand/power tools: drill; saw (hand, table, reciprocating); planer
