There is no shortage of projects and tasks to do here at the Pilot Lodge, and given the unique nature of our business we understand most applicants will not have all of the skills listed below. We are simply looking for several applicants who have a strong background in some of those skills along with a desire to broaden their skillset into some of the others listed.

Example Job Responsibilities Manage multiple email accounts and a dedicated office phoneline. Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email and provide customer support services. Provide guidance and feedback as needed. Create website content such as articles and quizzes. Assist with proofreading website course development and review. Manage multiple social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Pinterest. Create engaging content, interact with customers and followers. Build customer relations. Check in with students and reach out to previous students to gather course feedback. Work on FLY8MA projects, including course content creation, video editing, photo editing, and SEO blog posts. Assist with aircraft and vehicle maintenance at the FLY8MA Pilot Lodge in Big Lake, Ak.
Typical tasks include:
- Oil changes
- Tire changes
- 100hr and Annual inspections
- Aircraft restoration and refurbishment
- Building Maintenance and construction
- Runway Maintenance
- Metal fabrication
This is a position where you will learn a great deal about maintaining and repairing aircraft, as well as earn work experience towards an FAA A&P certification as a certified aircraft mechanic.
The ideal candidate should be someone with a high mechanical aptitude who is interested in aircraft and all things mechanical. The FLY8MA Pilot Lodge maintains a fleet of 9 small aircraft and several pieces of heavy equipment for runway and building maintenance (excavator, dump truck, motor grader, bull dozer, etc).
