The Flat Rock Club is a private fly fishing club established in 1906 that sits on 150 acres of unsurpassed beautiful forested land along the banks of the famous Henry’s Fork of the Snake River.
We are located in the small town of Macks Inn, Idaho, off Highway 20 just 25 miles south of the west entrance of Yellowstone National Park and 80 miles north of Idaho Falls, Idaho.
We pride ourselves in maintaining a high quality of food service for our members. We are looking for an enthusiastic and friendly Chef to join our staff for the summer season.
- Plan, prepare, and plate three course dinner meal
- Ensure kitchen activities operate in a timely manner
- Maintain inventory
- Adhere to sanitation and safety regulations
- Maintain a clean kitchen
- A minimum of two years experience
- Strong knowledge of cooking methods, kitchen equipment, and best practices
- Be creative
- Teamwork oriented with outstanding leadership abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work alone without supervision

This position requires an individual that is friendly, organized, willing to work split shifts and help out where needed. The morning shift starts at 6:30 am with making sandwiches for brown bag lunches, serving a la carte breakfast, cleaning up after breakfast service, dishes, and completing daily tasks such as watering gardens, chopping wood, or simple routine maintenance projects. The morning shift is usually completed by noon. The evening shift starts at 6:00 pm with setting up the dining areas for dinner service, serving dinner at 7 pm, clean up after dinner service, dishes. The evening meal is chef's choice consisting of three to four courses. Dinner service is usually completed by 9:30 pm. The work atmosphere is stress-free and centered around working as a team allowing each employee to flourish. Hours will vary depending upon occupancy.
- Wage will be $15 per hour plus a share of pooled gratuities.
