The Flat Rock Club is privately owned by 50 shareholders that visit the Club with their family and friends from Memorial Day weekend through September 30th.  They visit mainly to engage in world-class fly fishing on the Henry’s Fork and other rivers within the greater Yellowstone ecosystem.  The Club is not open to the general public. Our website is private with only the home page showing to non-members. 

The Club provides lodging in a variety of log cabins ranging in size from a single room to ten rooms.  Members gather nightly in the lounge to ponder the day's activities before venturing to the dining area to enjoy a three-course gourmet dinner.  Breakfast is served daily and sack lunches are prepared before the members depart for their day of fishing or other activity.

Members come from all walks of life and have traveled extensively throughout the world. They expect excellent service and are accustomed to dining on sophisticated cuisine.  We emphasize gracious, friendly, and detail-oriented service to each of the members.


The Club Manager is directly responsible for all Club functions including administrative, financial, staffing, reservations, lodge facilities, housekeeping, kitchen operations and meal service, grounds keeping, maintenance, building improvement and construction, and all other operational concerns reporting to the Club President. The Manager position is year-round while the other employees are seasonal.  This position requires living on property. The Manager's house is a modern home built in 2005. This is a perfect position for a couple sharing the many responsibilities of running the Club. Compensation package is approximately $90K.

Management is expected to have an honest, respectful work ethic; be hardworking, and be committed to excellent customer service. A friendly smile brightens the day for everyone. 

Flexibility is essential as well as being a team player.  Loving the outdoors and all it has to offer is vital.  Each day presents a new challenge that needs to be approached with a positive attitude.  A good sense of humor is necessary!  

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the hospitality industry, ideally in a management position
  • Proficiency in computer programs
  • Familiar with QuickBooks
  • Able to effectively communicate clearly with Club officers, staff, and members
  • General knowledge of building maintenance
  • General knowledge of fishing and other activities in the surrounding area
  • Ability of work long hours during the season
  • Maintain a pleasant attitude throughout the year
