Looking for an opportunity to work and live in the heart of nature? Mammoth Five Star Lodging, a fast-growing vacation rental company in the heart of Mammoth Lakes, California, is seeking skilled and reliable seasonal Maintenance Techs/Property Inspectors to join our dynamic team. Employee housing (shared) is available for and is located just blocks from the ski lifts at Canyon Lodge, and about 2 miles from the Mammoth Lakes Basin (for easy access to all the warm weather sports the area has to offer)!
As a Maintenance Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our hospitality business. Your primary responsibility will be to perform detailed maintenance inspections in residential homes, after guests have checked out. During this process, you will inspect the unit for any damages or lost/missing items, and ensure that doors and windows, appliances, A/V systems and other electronics, cable/internet service, lighting, plumbing, wall heaters, gas fireplaces, and pellet stoves are functioning properly. Additionally, you will perform Quality Control (QC) checks to grade the quality and completeness of the cleaning by our housekeepers. You'll be an essential part of our team; the final set of eyes on our product, responsible for ensuring company standards are met so our guests enjoy the vacation they dreamed of.
We're looking for team players who are eager to learn, with strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and familiarity with consumer electronic systems, including audio/video/home theater, iOS mobile devices, and wifi/Internet troubleshooting skills. Maintenance and repair experience is a strong plus, but not required - we're willing to train. Prior experience operating a skid-steer loader is highly desired.
We're looking for individuals who are willing to live full-time in Mammoth Lakes, CA for the duration of their employment, and who are excited to be part of a talented, young, and dynamic team. Our company provides all equipment required, including vehicles. A current driver's license with a clean, insurable driving record is required. Employee housing (shared) is available, providing a comfortable and convenient home away from home.
Minimum pay for this position is $20/hour (or more, depending on skills and experience). Please note that we have limited availability for seasonal staff housing (2 spaces for permanent employees, and 4 spaces for seasonal/temp staff). Housing offered for this season will be in a 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath apartment located approx 5 blocks from Canyon Lodge at Mammoth Mountain Ski Resort. The fully furnished apartment is one of two apartments in an employee housing duplex. Common areas such as kitchen, bath, living room spaces are shared within the apartment, while limited on-site laundry is shared between the two apartments. Seasonal/temporary employees will have a shared room, while full-time/permanent staff will have private rooms (as available).
