Please note: staff need to be available to begin work April 14, 2019, and stay through the first week of October.
All staff members are part of a team and the show cast for First City Salmon. Every day is a new show in downtown Ketchikan as thousands of visitors arrive on the shore and get off of the ships. This is where we must shine. While you may have specific assignments each day while guests are in the building at the end of the guest rush it is ALL hands on deck to get things ready for the next day.
A First City Salmon guide is like a TV Talk Show Host playing a complete part or role. The guide will need to memorize a 40-minute script all about SALMON and be able to interact continually with the guests. Guides will be complete hands on with guests and must be outgoing and playful as the script calls for a great deal of personal interaction and getting guests to respond to your questions as they play in different roles along the way with you.
If you always wanted to be the star of your own show this is for you. The show has a great deal of multi media in it as well and you will have to operate video and audio equipment as you go through your script and deliver a performance for the guests.
Guides will conduct 2 – 4 tours a day and work in other areas when not guiding.View Job Description
