The season runs from late May through September 30th. Staff must commit to working the entire season.

  • Executive Chef

    Kitchen
    Outside of West Yellowstone
    $5,000.00 / month

    The Executive Chef position works as a team leader overseeing all functions of the Culinary program at Firehole Ranch. This position requires the ability to create, prepare, cook and serve guest and staff meals daily. The Sous Chef assists daily and on Chef days off. Salary based on experience.

    Quality standards necessary for a Sous Chef to operate at the Firehole Ranch:

    • Quality food made from scratch
    • Fresh locally sourced ingredients, when possible
    • Fresh baked goods offered daily for breakfast, lunch and dessert
    • Open and respectful accommodation of guest and staff food allergies and dietary restrictions, when reasonable and possible

    Job Description – Head Chef:

    • Daily menu planning, ordering, managing inventory, preparation, daily / weekly cleaning and sanitation schedules
    • Prepare, cook and plate guest meals
    • Oversee and manage the culinary operation including scheduling, ordering, discipline and reviews
    • Train culinary staff
    • Work with and educate Front of House Staff on menu preparations and menu wording
    • Ensure a safe work environment and report safety issues to managers

    Required Duties:

    • Preparation of hot appetizers, cold appetizers, dinner salads, soups and charcuterie
    • Preparation of meat and fish, sauces, accoutrements, garnishes, etc.
    • Responsible for overseeing the following team members: Sous Chef, dinner prep cook, dishwasher; breakfast cook, prep cook, AM dishwasher

    Specifics / Details of the FHR Kitchen:

    • Serves 24 staff, 3 meals per day
    • Serves up to 23 guests in the lodge for dinner: soup or salad, 1 meat and 1 fish item and dessert
    • Serves up to 23 guests in the lodge for breakfast: fruit, pastry, 1 savory & 1 sweet entree
    • Preps box lunches daily for all guests and guide staff, up to 36 boxed lunches daily
    • Weekly Wednesday Night Barbecue with an extensive buffet

  • Dining Room Server

    Serving
    Outside of West Yellowstone
    $1,900.00 / month

    Non-traditional Server position rotates breakfast and dinner shifts in a relaxed fine dining setting. Responsibilities include bar tending, set up and break down of the dining room, cleaning and maintaining the lodge and some dish washing. Fine dining experience preferred. Must be flexible to pitch in where needed. All gratuities pooled and distributed at the end of the season. Salary varies with experience

  • Housekeeper

    Housekeeping
    Outside of West Yellowstone
    $1,900.00 / month

    Housekeeping is a vital part of the Firehole Ranch guest experience. Its hard to express the importance of this position. Housekeepers service 12 rooms daily. Attention to detail and the ability to complete tasks on time are required. Experience is not required but a strong work ethic is. All gratuities are pooled and distributed at the end of the season. 

    Duties include:

    • Review daily guest/room needs
    • Clean and service cabins daily
    • Inform Maintenance of repair needs
    • Complete ranch and guest laundry
    • Rotate schedules to complete nightly guest room turn down service
    • Assist with caring for flowers at the ranch
    • Other duties as necessary

  • Kitchen Help/Dishwasher

    Kitchen
    Outside of West Yellowstone
    $1,900.00 / month

    The dishwasher position requires following directions, to be self-motivated and responsible. NO experience is required, but fast learning and common sense are expected.  The position includes multiple tasks, making work days more interesting. Flexibility is a must. Some basic food prep, helping with staff meals prep, and odd jobs such as daily cleaning schedules, helping with deliveries (you must be able to lift 50 lbs), and organizing guest lunch coolers. The dish-washing shift is from 2 or 3 pm to close (expect a full 8 hour shift).
    You will be trained by the Chef and his assistants and will be asked to be professional in your position; there is significant opportunity for growth within the Firehole Ranch company. All gratuities are pooled and distributed at the end of the season. Salary varies with experience

  • Outdoor Staff

    Maintenance/Grounds/Transportation
    Outside of West Yellowstone
    $1,900.00 / month

    The Firehole Ranch Outdoor Staff position fills many shoes. Varied tasks include general maintenance of buildings, vehicles and boats, grounds work, transporting guests daily in Vans, Suburban's and Pontoon Boats. Required Mid May working through the end of September. All gratuities are pooled and distributed at the end of the season.

    • Maintain/clean boats and vehicles
    • Maintain grounds: daily watering, care of lawns, mowing, and keeping gravel roads in good shape.
    • On-going general maintenance of all buildings and the marina.
    • Provide daily boat shuttles morning and evening.
    • Provide airport shuttles
    • Build guide lunches 1 morning a week
    • Assist with other ranch/lodging maintenance needs as necessary.
    • Valid driver’s license and minimum 21 years of age.

  • Prep Cook

    Kitchen
    Outside of West Yellowstone
    $1,900.00 / month

    The prep cook position works under the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to prep, prepare and plate guest and staff meals daily. This position requires teamwork, the ability to listen to directions, complete tasks on time and meet sanitary requirements including personal hygiene, handwashing, rotating and labeling products and prep. This position is a great place to gain experience and work your way up.

    • Work with fresh locally sourced ingredients, when possible
    • Help prepare staff meals
    • Open and respectful accommodation of guest and staff food allergies and dietary restrictions, when reasonable and possible
    • Ensure a safe work environment and report safety issues to managers

  • Housekeeping Manager

    Housekeeping

    $2,500.00 / month

    The position of Housekeeping Manager is a key position at Firehole Ranch and is integral to the overall guest experience. It requires strong attention to detail, organization and the ability to complete tasks in a timely manner. The Housekeeping Manager oversees the team of 3 staff, cleaning 12 Guest accommodations, nightly turndown service and operation of the on-property laundry to clean, dry and fold room and guest items. salary varies with experience. All gratuities are pooled and distributed at the end of the season. 

    Duties include:

    • Review daily arrivals / departures schedule
    • Write and review daily and weekly schedules with staff and assign duties
    • Assign deep cleaning projects
    • Service rooms per daily needs
    • Log room Maintenance needs for repairs
    • Set up rooms as needed for king or twin beds, pull out couch, etc.
    • Stock rooms with needed guest amenities (shampoo/soap/conditioner/etc)
    • Inspect rooms after cleaning
    • Assign or launder housekeeping linens
    • Identify stained or damaged linens and remove from service
    • Assign or Complete nightly turndown service as scheduled
    • Maintain the service standards and guidelines of Firehole Ranch
    • Train staff on service standards and review them
    • Identify safety concerns and report them to a manager
    • Other duties as necessary
