We are a busy roadside lodge with a cafe, bar, hotel, and gas station. We are looking for hard workers who enjoy a fast-paced work day and the daily adventure that can come with living in Alaska. We are located on the road system near the summit of a mountain pass with the Nelchina Glacier and Chugach mountains on one side of us and the Wrangells on the other. Beyond our lake, the tundra stretches for miles with over a hundred miles of trails for exploring winter or summer.
Specifically, we are in need of full-time server.
Waitstaff opportunities involve a high volume of customers which you know through professionalism, friendliness, and courtesy equates to opportunities for cash. Waitstaff duties involve serving food and alcohol (upon hire one will need to complete the on-line State of Alaska serving course), as well as cleaning of the cafe and hotel units. We are known for our hospitality, cleanliness, great pie, and cheap (25 cent) cup of coffee. We have a great crew of year-round local waitstaff that we look forward to complementing with seasonal staff, and year round positions. Our daughter worked her way through college here during summer and weekends and truly appreciated getting "out of town" and making good money while connecting with such a diverse customer base.
Waitstaff will have great opportunities for tips. This is based on 32 to 40 hour work week. Room & Board available for a discounted rate of $550 per month, if you choose. This is a great place to spend the summer. We have hiking, camping, 4 wheeling, fishing and camping all within a few miles of the lodge.
