Work and experience Alaska’s breathtaking beauty from the air. There is no better way to discover the vast expanse of Alaska’s natural beauty than with Era Helicopters' Flightseeing Tours. Era has over 160+ aircraft world-wide, and has been operating in AK since 1948. Our two locations provide distinct experiences, and allow you to apply for the base of your preference.

About Era Helicopters

Denali National Park

The Denali Base is located in a rural area 4 hours North of Anchorage and 2 hours South of Fairbanks. Several employees return season after season and become part of an active and exciting seasonal community nestled in the mountains. Denali National Park is our backyard and employees enjoy their days off hiking, camping, flying & rafting among some of the most beautiful scenery in the world. Amenities are very limited as we are in a remote location. The nearest grocery store is located in Fairbanks. Dorm style housing is provided and our employees work, play, live and eat together.

Juneau

Alaska’s state capital is Juneau and is home to approximately 32,000 people.  Our Juneau base is located on Douglas Island, about 5 miles from the city center (downtown). It has small town charm & world class scenery. Above the peaks of Juneau is the massive Juneau Ice field where our helicopter tours take place.  Amenities and services are similar to what you would find in any small city. (Grocery stores, restaurants, shops etc.) Juneau is a hub of seasonal employees and outdoor enthusiasts.  A summer in Juneau will be one to remember
