Pay: $45,000 - $55,000 depending on experience + Commission

 

Overview:

Emerald Downs is seeking a dynamic and proactive Group Sales Representative to join our sales team. The ideal candidate will be a results-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and a passion for providing outstanding customer service. As a Group Sales Representative, you will play a key role in generating leads, coordinating events, and building lasting relationships with clients.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Proactively generate leads, coordinate events, and serve clients to achieve sales targets.
  • Respond to incoming email and phone inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Develop clear and effective proposals for current and prospective customers.
  • Convert prospects to clients by effectively communicating a full understanding of our offerings through telephone, personal meetings, networking, and email.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service.
  • Maintain relationships with clients by providing ongoing support, information, and guidance.
  • Research and recommend new opportunities to enhance client relationships and sales growth.
  • Contribute to the team effort by achieving related results as needed.
  • Provide monthly reports on personal sales achievements and plans to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
  • Represent the organization at trade exhibitions and events to promote brand awareness.
  • Utilize HubSpot CRM for effective customer management and record-keeping.
  • Maintain proper personal organization, excellent time management skills, and accurate records.
  • Provide support for promotional events to enhance the company's visibility and sales opportunities.
  • Manage the procurement of merchandise and supervise inventory management, including pricing, for Gift Shop offerings during race day events.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in group sales or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to proactively generate leads and close sales deals.
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management tools, preferably HubSpot CRM.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Willingness to attend events and exhibitions outside regular working hours.
  • Team player with a positive attitude.
