A Montana Ranch Experience this Summer!
The Elkhorn has been a dude ranch since 1922 . We are now in third generation management, and in some cases, fourth generation dudes. Continuity has created our tradition!
Just a mile outside of Yellowstone Park and surrounded by the Gallatin National Forest and Wilderness.
About Elkhorn Ranch
As you would guess, life here is oriented around the outdoors. Almost all of our guests, around forty a week, come to ride, although there are a few avid fishermen and some hikers.
There are twenty-four crew during the summer months; all of us live on the ranch and are encouraged to take part in all activities when schedules allow. The heavy interaction between guests and crew is one of the things that all seem to enjoy most about the ranch.
We are looking for people that want to be part of the Elkhorn family. For both of us to have a great summer you must enjoy both other crew and the weekly guests, be conscientious with a strong work ethic and be a flexible person willing to help throughout the ranch.
Room and Board
Everyone is provided room and board. There are an assortment of bunkhouses and shared cabins; some with bath and some with baths nearby. Laundry facilities are also available on the ranch.
The ranch provides room and board, wages, and a share in the tip pool. Crew is encouraged to take advantage of ranch activities when schedules allow. Besides amazing horseback riding, there are unlimited hiking trails and great fly-fishing.
Getting Here and Getting Around
The Elkhorn Ranch can be reached by flying into Bozeman or West Yellowstone. If you drive, we are on Highway 191, 33 miles north of West Yellowstone and 55 miles south of the Bozeman airport.
When not working, crew is welcome to ride. This is a beautiful area to take advantage of hiking, fishing and exploring Yellowstone Park.
How to Apply
