We are now looking for a sous chef!
Come work and lead our team in the beautiful coastal town of Homer, Alaska: the halibut capitol of the world! This restaurant is a high volume location with a new expansion of our patio deck. Must have experience in working with steak and seafood and experience leading a team. Housing is included.
Bonuses are available for you for staff that you bring with you and stay through the summer!
The dates are currently March to October but we are attempting to extend as the local business is in demand
Responsibilities - Assisting executive with:
- General oversight and management of kitchen staff and setting
- Create seasonal menus and menu items
- Train and direct kitchen staff
- Manage inventory and purchasing of items
- Experience working during all shifts in the kitchen, showing extensive knowledge of food preparation and service
- Minimum 2 years of previous experience as chef, preferred in lead/management role
- Ability to manage multiple tasks at a time while maintaining attention to detail
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

- Ability to lift, push, pull and carry tables, chairs, trays, plates on a daily basis, 20 -40 lbs
