Doe Bay Cafe is seeking our dream Chef de Cuisine.  Our restaurant showcases seasonal, local, organic seafood and produce grown on our on-site garden and from fantastic Orcas Island Farms.  This is an amazing opportunity to be part of a fully functioning Seed to Table program. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is creative and passionate about northwest food and wine, is willing to work hard and has a proven ability to lead and inspire others.

Candidates should be comfortable with both “working chef” duties of daily production and overseeing nightly service and “head chef” duties of food costing, menu creation and training. Equally important is a positive attitude suited to working in an open kitchen environment. No pan hurlers, screamers or Anthony Bourdain wannabees need apply.

Our ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience in a scratch kitchen as sous or chef. Prior experience in vegetarian or pescatarian restaurants, catering and a culinary degree is preferred.
