Delaware North team members come together from diverse cultures and backgrounds and work together to enhance the guest experience. The Appalachian Trail cuts through several of our locations in Shenandoah so there will be plenty of opportunity to greet guests and hear their hiking stories. Some hikers decide to stay for a while and work part-time with us until they resume their journey. Whatever the reason you decide to work at Shenandoah, we look forward to you joining the team.

Room and Board

Housing is available at $50.00/week which includes all meals! Houses are dormitory style with a shared bathroom. This includes free bed and bath linens and free laundry. A limited amount of housing is available, so apply early. Children and pets are not permitted in employee housing.

Getting Here and Getting Around

However you decide to travel to Shenandoah, these are the nearest travel hubs: 

  • Airport: Washington Dulles, VA approximately 90 miles away 
  • Bus station: Charlottesville, VA approximately 50 miles away 
  • Amtrak: Culpeper, VA approximately 60 miles away 

If you have your own vehicle, you are permitted to use it when you’re in the park. We also encourage rideshare with friends and co-workers. Additional transportation options at Shenandoah include: 

  • Several daily shuttle services to Luray and Stanley, VA 
  • Taxi services in Luray VA 
  • Scheduled trips to our different locations within Shenandoah 

We make sure that your work location is within walking distance from your housing area
