Room and Board
We are located approximately 30 miles from Beatty, Nevada. We also offer inexpensive on-site employee housing.
On-site housing is dorm-style, and you will share a room with one other person*; bathrooms are shared* between two rooms. Cable is provided at no additional charge, however televisions are not provided by the Company.
We offer RV sites, with full hook-ups, for employees who own RV or Trailers.
Free laundry facilities and three meals a day are provided in our employee dining room for all employees living on-site.
Dorm room cost is $125.00 every two weeks. Dorm room deductions will be taken out of payroll (bi-weekly). Employees who live in their own RVs pay only $62.50 bi-weekly which includes full hook-ups and meals in our employee dining room.
Our employees receive great discounts on gift shop items and on food in the restaurant and Saloon. Employees are invited to use the resort pool - a real treat on a hot day!
Hotel rooms may be discounted up to 50% for employees, pending the general manager's approval.
In addition to all that, full time associates are eligible for voluntary benefits that include medical, dental and vision plans.
Getting Here and Getting Around
Located right on Highway 190, we are in the heart of Death Valley National Park. There is no public transportation, so we highly recommend you bring your own vehicle.
If you don't have a vehicle, we can arrange a pick up in Las Vegas. All requests for pick up need to be made at least two weeks prior to arrival.
The cooler months are an excellent time to explore the park. The Mesquite Sand Dunes and Mosaic Canyon are both very close to Stovepipe Wells, and other hiking opportunities abound throughout the park. Gravel roads to old mines, sand dunes and mountain peaks make this area a four-wheeling enthusiast's dream. There are also excellent opportunities for birders, stargazers and photographers in this beautiful park.
The summer months can get too hot while enjoying the outdoors at Stovepipe, but we are conveniently located to a host of beautiful getaways. Here are drive times to some of our favorite escapes:
- Mt Whitney Portal/Sierra Nevada: 1½ hours
- Las Vegas/Red Rock Canyon: 2½ hours
- Mammoth Lakes: 3 ½ hours
- Los Angeles: 5 hours
