    Essential Job Functions:

It is expected that all reservation calls are answered promptly, courteously, and knowledgeably in order to provide future guests with information on accommodations and services at Crested Butte Mountain Resort.  Sales Agents will be responsible for entering and reserving reservations using our Central Reservation System.  The Sales Agent is the first point of contact between prospective guests and Crested Butte Mountain Resort.  This person must be engaging and knowledgeable of the Crested Butte / Gunnison area.  Will be responsible for learning all aspects of summer and winter vacation travel which includes, but is not limited to, an intimate knowledge of all Crested Butte/Gunnison lodging, lift products, equipment rentals, car rentals, airfare into all airports that our guests utilize, airport transfers, and all other activities that are available within the Gunnison Valley.

    The Ski & Ride School manager will have continual focus on the Children’s Ski & Ride School and an entire Ski & Ride School focus in the Directors absence.  Other than days the Ski & Ride Schools Director is not on site, the Manager will focus attention to all children’s ski & ride school programming including and not limited to the supervisor team, guests’ needs, school groups, local programs, nursery, ski school lunch areas, and children’s alpine instructor staff.

The Snowboard Supervisor will also contribute to the overriding responsibility of developing and implementing all revenue building programs in an effort to grow the School’s revenues and increase penetration and guest retention.

    Essential Job Functions:

    • Works with Management team in coordinated effort to maximize guest satisfaction experience
    • Organizes instructors during the daily briefings, line-ups, and children’s lesson lunches
    • Determines teaching assignments which include; privates, children and adult groups, and school groups. 
    • Evaluates instructor grooming/image/timeliness and does an effective job of communicating all relevant information.       
    • Spends significant time in the corral and on the mountain handling guest comments/concerns and assisting with children’s group lesson lunches
    • Works with Training Manager, Training Coordinator, and Staff Trainers to implement training and develop training best practices
    • Assists Manager with mid-season and end of the season evaluations and training Passport tracking
    • Responsible for the daily set-up, upkeep, and appearance of the Ski and Ride School and meeting locations.
    • Assures all Assignments are accurately accounted for in Sirius and payroll is updated/entered on a daily basis.
    • Enters daily lesson count into Excel spreadsheet
    • Prepares daily, weekly, monthly, and season long instructor schedules
    • Exhibits a professional image and first class service attitude that sets an outstanding example for the Ski and Ride School staff and other CBMR employees            
    • Assists in the supervision, scheduling, and communication of alpine/snowboard training, meet & greet, and any other sales building initiatives undertaken by the adult school.
    • Actively communicates and coaches all adult school instructors and responds to their questions and concerns in a timely manner.  Effectively communicates, and works, with Children’s Ski and Ride School and all other CBMR departments.
    • Maintains a safe working environment for all associates and guests; participates in all safety initiatives; and follows-up on all accidents in a timely manner and documents injuries appropriately.   
    • Leads and organizes assigned special events, such as torchlight’s and other Ski and Ride School special events.
    • Teaches group and private lessons when time and schedules allows. 
    • Assists with class observation and feedback        
    • Assists with hosting of PSIA/AASI clinics and exams
    • Performs all other related duties as assigned or requested.

    Job Requirements:

    • Minimum of PSIA/AASI Level II Certification  
    • High School Diploma or equivalent 
    • Understanding of Reservations and Sales Systems 
    • Minimum of 3 years related experience   
    • Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs
    •  Must be able to work holidays and weekends
