The Employee Experience
Meet Caroline! She grew up visiting CB, and after college ended up moving. When she first arrived here, she started working as a hotel receptionist at the front desk of the Lodge at Mountaineer Square. Recently she was promoted to Front Office Manager. She takes care of all the odds and ends around the hotel, but the best part is the chance to play a part in guest's vacations in Crested Butte. From Recommending restaurants to helping plan out proposals. "We had a crazy proposal one spring," Caroline dishes. "we set up hot chocolate, candles, and rose pedals for a couple, but it ended up blizzarding!" Seeing the newly engage couple blissfully happy gave her a great feeling because she knew she played a part in that special moment.
Meet Dan! He comes from the small town of Westford, Massachusetts. When he was six years old, he got a pair of skis for Christmas. It was the beginning of an era in the ski world.
Dan is the Director of Children's Programs at Crested Butte Mountain Resort. In one sentence, he calls it "the director of fun, exciting children's activities." Dan has a lot of pride in his job, and in the success of the programs that he runs. He says for him, working with kids, an being able to share with them a passion for skiing and outdoor adventure is extremely fulfilling.
In both summer and winter you'll find Dan around the mountain working with the kid's camps. One of his favorite camp traditions is the July 4th parade. Every year he drives the "Camp CB" float through town, with all the campers in tow. The kids love it, Dan has fun, and its a lively experience for everyone. From a kid's perspective, being at Camp CB is an endless adventure!
